I finally talk d my hubby into trying this place. He ordered chicken teriyaki which he said was just ok. I ordered chicken fried rice n a side of Grozny. I don’t add salt to my food I like to taste my food. I was very disappointed it was very bland, I ate a little n threw the rest out. I hate to throw out food. The restaurant was very clean n the staff was very nice.

Ordered almond chicken, pork fried rice & gyoza for our first time there. Almond chicken was gross. Dark meat, tons of gristle & fat. The sauce was goopy/​chunky, two bites prompted further inspection which made me throw it out. The rice was okay & gyoza too. Won’t be going back.

We ordered chicken katsu and substituted the steamed rice for fried rice for an extra charge. We enjoyed the chicken katsu a lot, portions are good, and the price range is decent as well. I would definitely recommend this place :) and will be coming back when I’m craving for some teriyaki. Owners were really friendly too while we were waiting for our food.

Got my son the chicken teriyaki bowl and myself the gen tao/​teriyaki chkn combo. I didnt get any of this free soup others spoke of, nor did I see anybody else in the restaurant get any either. Guy was slow on the water. He tried to be friendly. But mehhh… I cant really say that I was impressed. Portions were okay. Plates are served with green salad and macaroni salad (hawaiian style as the man himself said)…not really my forte… would much prefer stir fried veggies. A little heavy on the sauces too.
Not sure that we will return.

Very nice customer service and great tasting food. The restaurant got pretty busy while we were there but the owners put in the effort to accommodate everyone. I will eat here again!

Enjoying Teriyaki at Lakewoods new N Joy teriyaki. Great dinner and service. Super clean restaurant. Complimentary egg drop soup with our meal. Enough left over for another meal.

I live very close to this restaurant. My father and I wanted to check it out since it’s new. We love their food. I had orange chicken and chicken teriyaki. It was so great. We liked this more than other teriyaki places around. They also gave a larger serving for the price.

Reviews are great so far, so we had to try this place out. We had to get our staples, the two dishes we judge all Teriyaki places by: teriyaki chicken and Mongolian beef. Also got the egg flower soup on the side. The combo meal came with a salad. Pretty basic, but they use that yummy Asian ginger dressing. Nice fresh lettuce, no brown edges. The chicken is great. You can see and taste the grill marks and the chicken was still moist and not overly sauced! We are split on the Mongolian. Not too many onions, you definitely get meat. But the sauce is too sweet. We prefer a more savory sauce. The beef could have been more seasoned, too! We will be back, though, to try the Asian Salad with Chicken Breast, Fish and Chips, Katsu and the Bulgogi! Yes, shocking, but the owners are Korean.

Just randomly decided to stop by here and my expectations were blown away. The quality and proportion sizes here are on point! Most teriyaki places are too greasy for my taste but this place was perfect, it was clean, the food was amazing, and the service was great. I was greeting when I came in and constantly checked up on if there was anything else I needed.
It highly recommend this to anyone, they give small cute teriyaki joints a good rep

The food is delicious, hot, and good portion. Restaurant is clean and the staff is quick and friendly. I ordered the Chicken & Pork Teriyaki. Next time I plan to try the Bulgogi.

Very clean and inviting place to have a bite to eat. Best Teriyaki in Lakewood! chicken katsu is the best around! Very nice owners. Easy to get to lots of parking. They have a punch card also. You will not be disappointed guaranteed.

Very clean and super inviting! For the cost you pay the portion sizes are good! Great customer service always keep me coming back and they have a punch card! Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Lots to choose from and this food is well flavored. You can get orders to go if you want and the wait time is average.
