Score one for the Lakewood T-Mobile store customer service. I bought a refurbished Galaxy S5 from them, and had been loving it, with the exception of a speaker phone mic that doesn’t seem to work. When I bought the phone back on 6÷27÷15, I expressed reluctance to try a refurb because of concerns about availability of replacements in the event that there was some latent defect with the handset, and the store manager assured me that if they did not have another refurbed S5 in stock, they could replace with a new one, and I’d only have to pay the difference between the cost of the refurb and the new phone. I went in to do that on Monday, 7÷6÷16, and they did not have any S5’s, new or refurbished, in stock at the time. So they sent me to the store in Rocky River, which had one, but that store wanted to charge a restocking fee on the return for the refurb, and would not honor the agreement given to me by the Lakewood store, which only then did I learn was a verbal agreement from that store’s manager, not official T-Mobile policy. I had to wait until Wednesday to call the Lakewood store so I could speak with the sales rep and store manager who I dealt with in the original sale, but once I did, they remembered and honored our agreement, and said they would waive the restock fee, and arranged to transfer inventory from the Rocky River store so I can just pick it up with them. It was a slight annoyance to have to go through that for the return, since it’s not corporate-wide policy to do this, but I’m very happy that the people I dealt with at least were good as their word.

The best cell carrier by far. I can’t believe that a AT&T merger is underway and I prey it is blocked. T-Mobile will bend over backwards to make sure you are a really happy customer. The service(phone and data) is amazing. The other day I was talking to a co-worker. She has a iPhone 4g on AT&T. My 3G Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant is faster; much faster! Loading the same YouTube video I started playing after 3 seconds from click, she started playing 8 seconds after click and paused for 3 seconds to CACHE during play; of course I did not :) Pricing, customer care, phone selection, voice quality, lack of dropped calls, fast reliable internet; what else could you possibly ask for?
