The Vaporium at Lakewood

First time «vaper», great discussion about options and such and so forth, no pressure to buy high-​end, just really great info on the subject. Bought a middle range vape, and am very hppy with it.

The environment is really chill and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. The juice selection is very big and diverse. The vape supplies are extensive and they are super helpful with the buildable mods

Best selection, Best Service & very knowledgeable staff. I drive 8+ miles bypassing many other stores to go to the Vaporium. Skip the rest & go to the BEST!

Went in today because of a lack of satisfaction in vaping, because I had the wrong equipment for what I want out of it. After some very helpful advice and vapeing tips im am very happy with my new set up. Thanks again guys!

Husband and I just went in and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to come talk to us. They knew more than some shops, but not a lot. They have some good flavors, but for mods and RDAs they have a low selection. Probably won’t be back.

Looks a bit shady from the outside, but it’s a decent look inside. Pretty good juice selection. This has been my go-​to place for juice lately. I’ve heard the staff is very helpful, but I have not gotten that the few times that I’ve been there. When it gets busy, it can seem a bit chaotic, and you can easily get skipped over. Hardware selection is not the best, either. Hopefully, I can go during a time that’s not busy, so I can get some one-​on-​one time with the staff and try some juices or get helpful information. I recommend this shop to my friends. I just let them know it could be hit or miss with the service.

The shop is small but fully equipped with flavors and brands from little bottles to big ones. Plus, they offer a military discount and every time I go in, my next purchase seems to get cheaper and cheaper.

I really have nothing good to say about this store or the one in Fife.
Prices. They are pretty high considering these shops are basically just reselling things from other companies. Other vape shops in Tacoma and Fife have a lot of this stuff for much cheaper. Same goes for their liquids.
Customer service sucks. I went here a couple years ago when the Lakewood place was new and customer service was amazing, far beyond my expectations. Now? It’s nothing but rude, snooty, and uninterested people running this place. They don’t take the time to sit down with you and help you out, especially when there are more than a few people in the shop. It seems like one sales rep will sit there gabbing with one person the entire time and shove a box of testers in your hand for you to go try while they ignore you.
There are too many other options available in the area now for them to act like this, and I certainly won’t ever go back.
Also, make sure you guys take your phones with you. Look up the stuff online first before you buy. Trust me, you will save boatloads of money buying the exact same juice and e-​cig hardware online. The only thing this place is good for is if you are in a pinch and absolutely don’t have anything else to use while waiting for an online order to arrive. Even still, I’d rather go down to D&A smoke shop and get parts/​juices there for much cheaper and they have fantastic customer service to boot.

Best vapor shop hands down. I’ve been to a lot of smoke shops and vapor places but this one has the best prices and best service. They had bottles of juice on sale for 2 bucks and some change for the longest time and will bend over backwards to get you started on the right device or upgrade the one you got. I lost the mouthpiece tip to my tank and thought I’d have to buy a whole new tank. Nope. The guy at Vaporium busts out a Ziplock freezer bag full of the metal tips and let me choose one that fit. No charge! Great service. The juices are plentiful and you can sample as much as you like without hassle or pressure. This is my first stop for vaping needs, Super Vape’z nearby is a close second.

Best vape shop I’ve been to! Huge selection of awesome flavors. I recommend Betty by the pinup line. The people there are very knowledgable, helpful, and kind. I would definitely recommend going there. My only issue is not a huuuuge selection of batteries and tanks. But I will definitely be going there for flavors from now on.

Helpful employees will get you set up with a new vaping system or new tank or battery. They also have a massive selection of juices in different brands, flavors or strengths.

Just went to the Lakewood Vaporium’s sister store in FIFE! What a difference in customer service. Snooty folks for sure here. For ONE it was 90 minutes till closing and for TWO there were only two or three other customers there with what looked like 4 – 5 staff members (not sure if 1 – 2 or worked there or not, but they were taking up most of the attention of 2 of the people that worked there). Plenty of time to shop for juices, especially when the other two customers left after sampling ALL the juices…
They get a big fat ZERO for customer service, there was one guy on point, who told the other staff members to check on me if I needed anything as I think he was leaving for the day and noticed me looking a little confused about the sampling procedure since they just put me at the table and placed a battery in my hand more or less.
It’s good I know what I wanted from the time I visited the store in Lakewood. But this is certainly a case of a vape store getting too big for its britches. This ain’t VapeRev folks! And even if it were, at least vaperev has snooty employees who are actually TRYING to SELL you something.
I felt like I was not HIPSTER enough or oddly enough like it was WEIRD that I actually smoked REAL ANALOG cigarettes BEFORE getting into vaping. YO this crowd of employees was definitely unwelcoming. Not exactly unfriendly, just too cool to actually do their job. WELL, See ya Vaporium, I left Los Angeles to get away from snooty, absurd people. LOVE Pierce County, LOVE the down-​to-​earth folks, but NOT diggin’ the uncool customer service at FIFE Vaporium.
I give Vaporium 5 stars for Lakewood and NEGATIVE 3 stars for Fife.
ALL IN ALL 2 stars and as I really don’t want to feel like a piece of crap for wanting to buy your products, I doubt I’ll be back what with the uneven customer service. :(

I thought the employees were helpful and friendly. They have some cool stuff and a pretty good variety. This was the first shop I ever went to as a noob vaper and everyone was patient and explained stuff. After I went to a few other stores I realized the vaporiums’ prices are a bit higher but its all good

Finally a Vape store that is run by people who treat sales like a legitimate business. They are more than happy to work with you, eager to teach you if you don’t know what you’re talking about and their kits are on the money.
If it’s your first time or you’re looking for high end mods, check this place out. (I know I sound like I work there or was paid to say this, but neither. Just really satisfied with the service)

I’ve been wanting to check out the Vaporium for awhile now especially since this is the only one with the best reviews. or well, any kind of reviews in general. Friendly staff and extremely helpful!
My husband dips and wanted to get off that and start vaping. I went with Wondermelon and Honeydew while my husband went with Honeydew and Tropical Twist. They have a wall packed with bins, filled to the brim with all sorts of flavors. It’s like a candy store! Choosing just one or two was incredibly difficult.

I’m not sure why anyone would get the idea that The Vaporium employees work on commission, that is so NOT TRUE. They take time with each customer to find out your needs and go the extra mile to help you successfully quit analog cigarettes.
I personally thought I’d never quit, but when I walked in there everyone was friendly, knowledgable and ready to take time with me without being pushy. They may be quite busy at times, but their is clearly a reason for that… they are the best!
I worked in customer service years ago (now I work in a more challenging field) still with the public and I feel that they excel in how they take care of there customers.

I love the no pressure, no nonsense attitude I get at this place.
The first time I came here I was immediately helped and educated about the model of the personal vaporizer I had bought out of state while on a trip.
My concerns were immediately addressed which led to upgrading my PV and buying some juice all on my own accord. Again no pressure, just flat out honesty.
I didn’t know about trying flavours before buying the first time I was there.
The second time I brought a friend and was immediately handed a battery or two and invited to sit down and puff through four different cases of flavour/​brands at our leisure.
When you walk in it smells like a hookah bar… or really sweet candy. It feels great being allowed to puff on my PV in a public retail shop with out any of the «smokers stigma» attached to it.
If you are new to this scene, don’t be intimidated. Ask for a battery and a demo. If you do walk out with a new device they have no problem getting you road ready. Filling up your PV with a choice juice and a quick demo of how to lock/​unlock the battery.
There are definitely some connoisseurs at this shop and they know quite a bit.

Came to the Vaporium on new year’s day with a friend. When we walked in, the place smelled like a candy store. The staff was super friendly, asking us right off the bat if we needed assistance. Being new to vaping, they were super understanding and didn’t pressure me into anything. It was all free will :)
They carry a vary wide variety of e-​cigarettes, replacement parts, and a plethora of flavors, strengths and brands for all tastes and preferences. I love that I was able to try the flavors right there in store. The e-​liquids seemed pretty reasonably priced considering how two small bottles of e-​liquid (~$ 15) is roughly equivalent to a carton of cigarettes. It’s a no-​brainer.

I really don’t understand why this place gets such high ratings. E-​juice is kinda expensive and so are they’re vaps and batteries. They also are extremely crowded when I’ve gone there so I don’t like waiting 15 mins just to talk to someone. Maybe they need more knowledgeable staff. I kinda found the people working there a little snobby. Its hard to get good information from them especially if your new to vaping. I kinda found them getting a little annoyed with me asking so many questions and they really were all about selling me something I really didn’t need. I’m not the type of person who cares about name brands and all the bells and whistles.
Just so everyone knows they’re not the only place in the area. I prefer Evergreen vapor in the B&I…they are alot cheaper and friendlier and open EVERYDAY til like 8pm!

This is THE place to go for all your vaping /​e-​cigarette needs!
The Vaporium stocks a variety of the latest and best models of personal vaporizers as well as spare parts, accessories, and hundreds of flavors of e-​liquid. Prices are really reasonable, especially since you can try out all of the different hardware and flavors right here in the shop. The e-​liquids are all made in the USA (not the cheap Chinese stuff) and available in several sizes and nicotine concentrations.
Kim and her staff (who are also her family) are absolutely amazing; they have a wealth of knowledge about vaping: the products, technology, lingo, news, legal policies… pretty much everything you need to or want to know– and they are more than happy to share with any customers (or visitors/​prospective customers), just ask! The Vaporium also acts as sort of a community hub, organizing ‘vapemeets’ and disseminating information through their website (
) and Facebook (
).
The only negative thing I can think of about The Vaporium is that it has become so successful they have a hard time keeping some products in stock and the small store can quickly become quite crowded. If they are out of an e-​liquid flavor, vaporizer part, starter kit, etc., though, chances are it’s already on order and will be back in stock soon (if not, it can probably be special ordered too).
