Was leery after my last haircut with a barber that I had gone to a couple of times. Walked in, got set up with Al. Showed him an older picture of a good haircut I had gotten, and told him what was wrong with my last haircut. This place is old school, smells of shaving products and there are a couple pop machines that are probably older than me. Al has been cutting hair for over 20 years and took great care in my cut, and had great attention to detail in fixing my lines and shaving around ears/neck. Even plucked a long eyebrow he had seen. Have a feeling I found my new barber, thank you Al for a great haircut.

I’ve been going to Tom and Jakes for about 3 years now and won’t go anywhere else to get my hair cut. Tom and Jakes is not fancy but I personally don’t think a barber shop is suppose to be. This place does have personality though, which you can see with their sports memorabilia and navy posters on the wall. During the spring you can usually catch part of a baseball game on their tv’s. I come in and my barber Al knows my name and my style without missing a beat. All and all I truly enjoy coming to this place every couple of weeks and always leave looking better than when I came in.

Alex did a great job on my hair. I appreciated the time he took to make sure it was all even and well groomed. The place is filthy, however.

I’ve been going to this barber for over a year now and I consistently get a great cut. All the barbers are great but I prefer Alex. If your tired if the cheap crappy cuts elsewhere, give this barber a shot. You’ll be happy you did.

I much prefer the old school barbers with the straight razors and calloused hands. However, I also like my haircut to at least somewhat reflect what I asked for. Everyone, while I was there, walked out of this place with basically the same crewcut with only a ½in difference in length between individuals. Want another kind of haircut? Go somewhere else. Want to not have some of your hair PULLED out by clogged scissors? Go somewhere else.

Good place for a good cut.

I’ve been searching for a decent place to get a haircut since I moved to CO. On a whim, I went to Tom’s and Jake’s based upon two Unilocal reviews. Well, I’m here to add to that list of review with 4⁄5 thumbs up. This place reminds me of the place I used to get my hair cut in VA. It’s a no nonsense establishment where you just have to figure out the flow. There’s little to no chit-chat and you leave with a great looking haircut. If you need someone to hold your hand and talk in your ear the entire time, this is not the place for you. If you want a great haircut with a short wait in an old school barbershop, this place is for you.

This is nothing less than a CLASSIC barber shop. The gentlemen there have been cutting hair and shaving faces for nothing less than 20 years. Love the atmosphere from the coat rack, old style coke machine and the smell of Bay Rum after shave! They give you a hair cut and a shave like the old days! I have going here for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. LOVETHISPLACE! Haircut is $ 14 which includes a straight shave around neck line and a splash of after shave!

This is a throwback barber shop for men(although I have seen a couple of women there) with the magazine rack, coke machine and rack to hang your jacket. The crew are all friendly and are always smiling.
