Union Square Family Practice

Tried to schedule an appointment for my fiancé to get a physical with no insurance. Was motivated by the other review here that mentioned loving this facility while having no insurance.
It’s $ 130 just to see the doctor (tests are additional) for a simple ‘new patient’ exam. Then they want you to come back for a 2^nd visit, pay twice as much to get an actual physical. «Well, that’s our provider’s policy.» Who has the time or $ for that?!

I’ve been going here since 1999 with Dr. K. I’ve seen a few others come and go over time, but the group they have now are awesome. Big fan of Dr. Olivares. I mean as much as anyone can be a fan of going to the Doctor.

I lost my medical insurance recently and got sick and thought, «Oh darn! Now what?» I had Kaiser insurance for the last six years and was so used to that system, that I began to panic. So what is a girl to do?
I regrouped, got control of my mind and thought, «Well…what did you do before you had Kaiser insurance?» I used to go to Union Square Family Practice!” Surely they couldn’t still be there and surely the doctor I used to see was not still there right?
The doctor I used to see was not there but I saw a new one named Liz Harris. I called, got in the same day and the whole procedure only set me back about $ 150.00. I got my prescriptions and today I am MUCH better.
Liz even called me to check on me and so did her assistant Carlos. Now where can you get great service like that I ask? Not at Kaiser! Oh and BTW? The girl at the front desk is from Columbia and is a riot! She not only does her job oh so efficiently but makes it a good time too. Which helps when you are sick and cranky.
I will Mos. Def. be going back when I need medical care again. Hopefully that is not in my future. Check them out, you will not be disappointed. I am soooo picky when it comes to a doctor and I am well-​pleased.
