We just got the continental buffet which does not include any hot items. It included fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and breads/muffins, which is plenty. The selection was good, but I was looking for a fruit to put in my yogurt other than the cantoloupe, honeydew or bananas. I saw the next table had their server bring out a heaping bowl of blackberries, which I thought would be great in my yogurt. I went back in to the buffet area and looked for them to no avail. I asked the omelet cook if he knew where they were and he said there were none. So I walked back out and Ilene asked if I needed anything. I told her I was looking for the blackberries that the table next to me got. She said, «Oh, they probably asked for them.» And that was that. She did not offer to get me any. Then the table asked for a to-go container and proceeded to put the blackberries in it. Their server also provided a bag with the container. I just wanted three or four blackberries for my yogurt. This sullied my experience somewhat. Other than that, all was decent. The continental buffet was $ 7.95 vs. $ 11.95 for the hot food buffet.

I ate here while staying at the DoubleTree for a conference. I was not overly excited by the choices. My first day here, I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was bland. It satisfied my hunger, but it wasn’t something I would order again. The next day, I took advantage of the breakfast buffet. It’s around $ 12 per person and well worth it in my opinion. You have the option of an egg or egg white omelet with several choices such as spinach, tomatoes, swiss or cheddar cheese, etc. In addition, there are a number of hot items, fruit, yogurt and more. If you can eat lunch and dinner elsewhere, I would recommend it. Breakfast is fine, considering the options. There is a McDonald’s directly across the street from the hotel, if you like what McD’s serves.

There aren’t many restaurants in the area so if you’re staying at the Hilton this restaurant is a good place to eat. I had the cheese steak flatbread and my wife had the burger. The flatbread was ok. The bottom of the flat bread was a little too moist from the steak juices. They use real steak meat and it is flavored well. The burger was impressive. It had a nice chargrilled taste and tasted good. We decided to have the breakfast buffet in the morning. Eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast sticks, fruit, cereal, croissants, omelet station and more. It all tasted good. It’s a solid restaurant where you can get some decent food.

The bartenders, servers, host, and management are great. There accommodating and make you feel like your at home. The food is great especially the rosemary chicken and the bruschetta is amazing! Highly recommended. I’ve been here 7 times in the past 3 months and I never have to leave the hotel for a great meal or drink!

We went there for dinner for Valentine’s Day, I have been to the lunches and it was good all around. This was our fifth choice for dinner since our favorite places in town were booked… I saw the prefixed menu on Facebook, so that is why we made reservations. We get seated, and are given the regular menu & the fixed menu; sitting there confused for 5−10minutes the hostess came back over to take our drink order. and she explained our menu. never said anything about our server. So drinks come, and a random dude walks over to take our order, then walks away. His name was Derek by the way; not once did he introduce himself as our server. We get our apps and he get his side salad, not once does he check on us to see if the food is ok, just came back to see if my boyfriend wanted another beer. Really though, How do you not check on your tables! As we are sitting there waiting for our dinner to come, you can tell he is doing the same thing to his other tables as he is to us. Dinner comes, I got salmon with veggie and switch couscous for mashed potatoes and it was very good, he got the filet minion veggie and mashed potatoes… his was gone before half of my plate was touched. So needless to say the food was really good! Our server not so much, he actually checked on us 1st time and last time. We did get desert however it took awhile for it to come out, he had his coffee almost gone by the time our desert came out. We got the pumpkin crème brûlée; which it tasted more like a pumpkin custard, but with strawberry sauce on top-weird combination. Typically crème brûlée has a hard shell that’s crystallized before you get to the custard and this did not. Once we got our check, FYI make sure you check your check… with any entire you can get a side salad for $ 2 less he charged us for a regular Caesar salad, the substation which isn’t a big deal but he never said that’s an additional charge. Our bill was over $ 100 and when we get great service we never tip under 20%, he could have easily made $ 25 tip off of us if he tried but no he got 10% and even that was more then he deserved. And not to mention we were there for two hours, I’ve never been to a restaurant for that long with 2 people! I’m sorry but on a holiday I expect better service then what we got. That server should be fired, he is not helping the business. If you want great services along with a great meal I’d recommend the Pressroom, not here.

Don’t even bother. The drinks are all ice, the waitstaff is ignorant, and the atmosphere is sub-par at best. I’ve tried this place and really WANTED to enjoy it, but was let down. Don’t waste your money on over-priced libations that contain little to no alcohol and rude servers. Absolutely would not recommend.

Visited with 3 friends. Sat down at 6:20 and the waitress didn’t come by our table until 7pm. We kept trying to grab her to order and she would say she would be right back. Can’t imagine what she was doing because it was not crowded at all. It took her another 20 minutes to bring our drinks. We didn’t order appetizers which was a good thing or we would have been there all night. I ordered hickory grilled chicken which was chicken with bottled barbecue sauce poured over it. The waitress took another ½ hour to bring our check. We spent almost 3 hours here to eat a chicken sandwich. Mediocre food and the worst service ever.

The food is average but the service is THE worst. Everyone of the front of house help, need major retraining or a new line of work. Its a shame, the location has great potential.

Ask any local person and they will tell you the food here continues to be well below par and has not improved at all. The bar is still a good place for a drink but frequently seems to be unorganized and messy. You see dishes being returned to the kitchen frequently. Bar menu is poor and there are times during the day that the kitchen is not fully open. Most dishes are pre cooked, frozen and nuked to warm up. Have tried their«new menu» flat breads at the bar but each time we have it they are prepared differently. Have had to return the margarita flatbread twice out of the 4 times I’ve had it. Both times their excuse was that it was a new chef. I’m giving it one star now because it’s obvious after 3+ years, that they will not improve and that it’s most likely a corporate issue.

This is a hotel restaurant. I wasn’t expecting much and I was still disappointed. Server was not rude but very curt. When she brought our bread she dropped it on the table and quickly walked away. Said nothing and we never got bread plates. 10-year-old ordered the Shepard’s pie. Meat inside was pink and clearly not cooked. When we explained this to the server she said nothing and took the dish to the back. Then came out and showed it to hostess or whomever was up front. Eventually she came back and explained that Shepard’s pie is precooked and they warm it up and do we want something else. NO apology and we never saw a manager or anything. Other dishes weren’t great. «Slow roasted» chicken fricassee was definitely fried and the Brussels sprouts were not cooked either. In the end the server did not charge us for the Shepard’s pie. The only reason I would return would be to go to the bar because there’s not many places to buy alcohol nearby.(bc of stupid PA alcohol rules)

trying to go out of business? As a local. My friends and I started going here when it first opened. Everyone was excited about a place that served alcohol in Willow Street .The first chef was good. it has gone down hill from there. Bartenders come and go. high staff turnover not a good sign. Food is very inconsistent. This could be a fabulous place.

I couldn’t find anything nice to say about my experience. Not well maintained. not clean at all. Prices are high. Some of our food was even under cooked. How can you screw up simple bar food. With an average attempt at managing this restaurant it should be packed. But it was not. Most of my experiences with Doubletree have been good but this will certainly make me reconsider my opinion of them.

We stayed here for a few days over the July 4th holiday and purchased the room rate that included breakfast. Let’s just say in hindsight, I wish I hadn’t! First off, the place was generally dirty. On our first breakfast, there was cereal and other stuff on the floor in and around our table. It was even worse the second morning when they sat us at a booth, and there were still crumbs visible on the table and all sorts of stuff on the seats themselves. I posted pics and honestly, I don’t even know how one could have missed that much stuff when cleaning the tables. We were pretty much grossed out by this point, but since we basically already paid for breakfast, I wanted to get my money’s worth. There is both a buffet breakfast or you can order off the menu. The prepaid coupons we got were good for the buffet, so that is what we did. You’ll find cereal, fruit, assorted breads, eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, and french toast. We were told the buffet changes daily, but the only change I saw was french toast sticks the one day and regular french toast the following day. You can also have an omelette made with various fixings. As for the food itself, it was OK, and about typical for a hotel buffet. Our waitress on the first morning was not the friendliest and very short with us. We explained to her that we had two picky eaters with our kids and they would only eat pancakes, which was not in the buffet. She said we could order pancakes for the kids, but we would have to pay the difference. I indicated to her that our breakfast voucher said that the value of the kids portion was $ 5.99 and the kids pancakes on the menu was only $ 3.99, so what difference would I have to pay? It seemed to be the restaurant was going to make out on this deal. She just kept saying that the voucher is good for the buffet and we would have to pay the difference. Not making any sense to me, I just said whatever and ordered the kids their pancakes. At the end of the day, she did not charge us for their meals, which is what I would have expected in the first place. We had a different waitress the second morning, who was a bit friendlier, but service was very slow. We did the same thing as the previous morning and ordered the kids their pancakes while my wife and I had the buffet. I was shocked when a bill came out at the end of our meal for the kids meals. I obviously complained and they took the charges away. All in all, I was very unhappy with this place and if I stayed at The Doubletree hotel again, I would not take the prepaid breakfast vouchers and would go out and find someplace to have breakfast instead. I think I would have been better off having breakfast at the McDonald’s across the street, and I don’t like McDonald’s!

My significant otter and I were tired after a long day of traveling and opted to grab some food at the hotel rather than head out on a Saturday night. I had a buffalo chicken wedge salad which was satisfying. The otter got excited ’cause they had a pick your pasta and sauce which included bolognese and rigatoni which he ordered but got meat sauce over penne. The next morning we used our breakfast buffet coupons and got eggs, sausage, bacon. Nothing outstanding, though I hadn’t had Frosted Flakes in a while and got some and they really are gggggrrrrreat … in fact, better than the hot breakfast items.

Typical Hilton hotel food. Seafood scampi pasta was$ 14, overcooked and not good. Sides are all around $ 5. Server was friendly. I had to stay here one night as the Arts hotel was booked. Hotel is not convenient to much but clean and comfortable.

5 stars for the food, 4 stars for the service, 2 stars for the prices. The 2 times we’ve been here for dinner we had coupons, otherwise we would not have paid that much for entrees. The food, though, is excellent, I loved the crab ravioli and my wife had some sort of mixed seafood dish she really enjoyed. Service was very friendly and generally quick but it took a long time for our check to make it to the table, especially considering that we were the only table in the whole place. The deck overlooking the golf course is really nice except for the maintenance guys smoking directly underneath. One word of warning, do not order the scallop entrée. It’s delicious but will leave you hungry, it’s barely an appetizer portion.

We ate here twice. We were very pleased with the food. I got the fish sandwich which the first time was delicious, and the second time was overly greasy with a different roll. But it still was good both times My husband enjoyed what he ordered. The reason for –2 stars are the prices. Its cozy, casual, pretty decent food with a great kids menu, good desserts but just overpriced. I’d come here more often if it was a bit cheaper.

While I don’t find this restaurant to be bad, I am giving it four stars(versus, perhaps 3.5) because of it’s location. This area of Lancaster really does not have much going on for it. The only other nice restaurant within a 5 or 10 minute drive from here is Wasabi. That being said, Café 24 Hundred is a nice addition to the local culinary choices. It was formerly Willow Valley’s Terrace restaurant. It has been remodeled and remade when Willow Valley became a Double Tree Resort. The new menu is leagues above the previous offerings. It is a bit on the fancy side but not so much that it should deter the casual diner. The main drawback is that the prices are, perhaps, a bit too steep. Nonetheless, the food is really good, and the service, although new and learning the ropes, isn’t too bad either. If you’re looking for a place to eat in the area, you won’t be disappointed by Café 24 Hundred.
