Lancaster now has a number of nice wine bars, but this tiny romantic mainstay above Carr’s restaurant is my favorite. They have less common mostly-French selections by the glass and beautiful glass windows to sit in(on little sofas or plush chairs) at any time of day. Service is always sweet and excellent too, with tastes provided if you can’t decide. Eclectic décor and bright colors work, and you can sit in the window on the other side from the street and look into the mall, the style Lancaster loves to create inside an old building. I have never eaten here, nor at Carr’s, which is heavy traditional food(nothing plant-based that I saw), but it’s a neat space you will get a good view of when you head to the far away bathroom. There is another small cozy triangular bar under the steps you descend. This is right across from the Dispensing Company, so there is easy parking in the adjacent lot.

This is for the wine only, I was not able to eat here, but will be returning soon. This is a cute little corner place that is very eclectic and fun. Their wine selection is small, but really good. Even my husband found something he liked! The bartender was nice and really on top of things. The place is tiny, but comfortable. I really enjoyed it for what it was.

Great place to relax and have a glass of wine. Great beer selection too. Funky décor with an artsy mix. The food was good, not great but not bad. The place is small and cozy.

After dinner and going through 3 wine bottles at home, I suggested to my bf and his brother, «MOREWINE!!!» So after much prodding and whining, they gave in to my demands. And off we went… Like a heard of turtles…(they insisted they both take a shower first)… So there we were, all young and artsy, pretending to be French. Apparently everything in this establishment is for sale(the couch, the art, the benches, the plants, etc.) I was still hungry, so I ordered the crab artichoke dip and the«Bubbles» off their wine list. Both the boys ordered the Absinthe. Unfortunately, they were all sold out of the«gooooooood Absinthe», so they just picked a different one. If you don’t like the taste of black licorice, it’s not for you. If you need to go to the bathroom, it’s downstairs, past all the people enjoying the live band playing, through a swinging door, and to your right. Bathrooms are very nicely designed. You might be wondering why I’m rating their bathrooms… but think about it… would you really eat at a place with dirty bathrooms? Anyhow, I’ll have to go there again and order more food to really rate their fare. Until next time!
