«I don’t know where Lancaster is. « That’s a direct quote of something I said to a fellow Unilocaler at lunch recently. Nicole(fellow Unilocaler) was telling me about a new chocolate place in the area. She has a chocolate blog( ) that profiled this place. Since it is the holidays and stocking stuffers are always welcome I thought it would be a good time to go explore the store. And Lancaster. Which it turns out I have been to before, driving down Broadway on my way back to Buffalo. But other than a gas stop or two over the years I haven’t spent much time here. It’s a very cute town. This store is on West Main Street and has super easy parking in front. They have tons of samples for each type of bar they have. Very cool. It’s real chocolate. Made in full view from cacao beans. They can trace their beans to a country. I wouldn’t be surprised if they could by farm, but I didn’t ask that. You see the beans getting crushed and then you can follow the process along until it becomes a bar. Which then gets wrapped and brought out front to the store. The bars are not cheap, but I think they will be greatly appreciated come Friday(Christmas). The place has been open less than a year, and they do have and online presence with an active FB page. Well worth a jaunt out to Lancaster. Especially this, the«winter without snow» year. 2035
