Had lunch — meat(hamburger steak) & three(canned veggies). Food is pretty low quality @ $ 10.79 + $ 1.50 tip = $ 12.29. Service is fine. Nothing bad, just nothing too good. It is unlikely I will return.

Eaten here twice and service and food were fantastic each time not to mention the generous lunch specials for&5.99. I had the steak hamburger with mozzarella sticks, sister had chicken, brother had omelet. All were full and took some home

Good food. Good prices. 4 stars because no mimosas. I will go back for the food though.

I thought this was down home good cooked southern food. I don’t think so. Seems more like packaged, canned, prepped good. Eggs were so runny. The whites weren’t even cooked and I ordered over medium, which means just slightly runny yolks. Pancake wasn’t cooked all the way. I will say the server was awesome though. She was so sweet and friendly! She tried to work with us it’s just the food was no good.

We came here today for a Valentine’s breakfast. We were seated immediately although they were almost full. The waitress was very sweet and friendly and the service was quick, even though there were several large parties also being served. The food was delicious and just as we asked for. The atmosphere is just right and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We will definitely be coming back. Why did they lose one star? The waitress hasn’t yet refreshed my drink. Ahhhhh before I even finishedtyping she refreshed my drink and now they get 5 stars from me.

New location, slightly north on Hwy 521 in a strip shopping center. Larger space then before, but very«open» and a bit cold. Same good food and good service. Menu has all the breakfast and lunch items you might want and there is a true southern flair to the meals. Grits are normal, but hash browns can be ordered. Pork chops for breakfast. And a great daily selection of veggies and sweets, like pudding or fruits. You can get a veggie plate of three of four items and they are as southern good as you can get. A nice lunch if you don’t eat too much of their corn bread. Breakfast and lunch only. Closes at 3pm. Family friendly.

Good spot for lunch — $ 6.99 plus tax & tips($ 9) for a «blue plate special» during the week. I personally think some items are priced a little high($ 7.99 for country breakfast? $ 10.99 for country friend steak?). I did a quick«dine & dash» today, quick service, plenty of food that I can justify my $ 9 lunch by having meal #2. I went with the Turkey & Dressing. GOOD gravy. I have a feeling that’s the same gravy from Biscuit & Gravy, and you don’t hear me complain. Turkey was a little dry and bland which unfortunately is common for a diner. Dressing is cornbread dressing; out of mac & cheese but broccoli casserole & collard were both good alternatives. You can get a 3 veggies plate for $ 4.99(probably the best deal since their sides were better than the entrée in my opinion). I will very likely find myself here in the future since lunch spots are hard to find in this area.

I decided to check out Di-Dees Diner on Sunday for brunch. This is for their new location in the strip shopping center across 521 feom Inspiration Ministries. When we arrived(around 12) there was no wait so our party of 4 was seated immediately. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted since they have a lot of options. You can have breakfast or dinner plates. I decided to go with a dinner plate and ordered one of the specials — turkey & dressing, which came with 2 sides & a choice of bread. I ordered mac & cheese along with lima beans and cornbread. It took a while for our food to come out and when it finally did, I was disappointed to find my food was not hot. It was mostly lukewarm at best & lima beans were downright cold. The turkey was good but the dressing was a big yucky looking brick. Both the turkey & dressing were loaded with gravy which tasted ok. Sadly the lima beans just tasted bad in addition to being cold. The mac & cheese was ok but nothing to write home about. Cornbread was average. Our server was very sweet & was trying her best but the service was slow considering that the place was not that busy. All in all, the food & service were ok, but nothing special. However, I will go back to give the place another try to see if we just caught them on an off day.
