I am heartbroken. Not only is their donut menu right by the ordering window so you have absolutely nothing to do while you wait in line, but so is the sign that says no credit cards… Maybe put the menu and the cash only sign way in the beginning so we’re not waiting in line for a half an hour just to find out that Nati does not get her donuts

Really yummy donuts. The Devils food cake iced, long johns, and maple iced are all really good. The drive thru is open 24hours. Best old school donut place around. And it’s a local business. Love it

Super friendly staff, great recipes and great prices. Stop in for a delicious break from the chain donuts.

Yummy. Chocolate cream filled donut– that is chocolate icing and white cream. Wish I lived closer. Cash only.

My first trip was excellent. The aroma of donuts when I went inside was heavenly. A large assortment to pick from and they was as good tasting as the presentation. Remember to bring cash but they do take checks with ID. This is now one of my two favorite doughnut shops in central Ohio… The other being jolly pirate in Reynoldsburg. They also have cherry and apple turnovers and really large humongous cinnamon roll type doughnuts in their case the size of plate.

I’m truly impressed: the large assortment of donuts are made there, and it’s such a small space! I am impressed that there is enough space — though it be small, for a few customers to come inside and decide on these sweet goodies!
Cherry, sugar & cinnamon, cake, a few cinnamon rolls (with nuts), custard filled, blueberry. In all, a dozen, plus one. Oh come on! It’s too hard to leave one out ;p The lady behind the counter looked tired. But she was still polite and fast. I’m sure there can be long lines, thus her speed and accuracy fit to the T.
Best part? They have managed to serve the public TWENTY-​FOUR HOURS A DAY! Lancaster in not quite the hotspot it once was. River Vally is no longer in the rankings for «happenin’ mall». So I give Donut World two thumbs up for being able to keep the business alive! Especially when people could easily bypass this small joint, and get some cheap Krispy Kreme donuts at the super market.

Oooooo yummy! I had a custard filled chocolate iced donut that made me so happy I had to have another! And then I had a chocolate donut with chocolate icing and it was amazing too! I love the convenient drive thru window. And the service was fast and friendly. I’m definitely coming back again!

I haven’t found another donut in central Ohio that I like better than Donut World.
I’d suggest getting some coffee, a few donuts, and then heading over to the serene rising park nearby. Sitting among the trees (and ducks) with some of the best donuts around is about as good as it gets for breakfast.
Luckily, it’s a 35 minute drive from my house, so I can enjoy it in moderation.

«The» Donut World. As in, the last local family owned non-​franchised donut joint around these parts. Their chocolate milk makes babies in my mouth.

Is this if the fall season that means one thing from Donut World their famous pumpkin donuts. I get these anytime I’m in the area since well I work up the street from them. Anyways besides the pumpkin donuts every other item they have available is great.

Best Donuts Ive Ever had.

Very good traditional donuts, open 24 hours a day and always a great selection at a good price! I got a dozen mixed, the only flavor I had never seen elsewhere is orange creamsicle, not the greatest but so different it was worth the try! The apple fritters were great, some of the cake donuts were a little stale but given at how many varieties they have not all can be at their freshest at all times! Worth stopping by if you happen to be in Lancaster where there is not much else going on!

Donut World offers absoultely the best donuts that are fresh and full of flavor and are like no other! This is coming from a person who doesn’t like donuts, but these are the only donuts I will NEVER turn down! Cash only, easiest access via Drive-​Thru window and best feature besides the donuts they are open 24 hours which again shows why the donuts are always so fresh…

Access to homemade donuts 24 hours a day? Okay, so that can definitely be pretty dangerous… combine with the fact that the donuts are delicious… even worse.
This place is no frills, most times I have been here the drive-​thru has been the only option… and the drive-​thru is about as low tech as they come. You drive up next to the building, look at the large number of options on the board (some special additions will be taped to the drive-​thru window.) After narrowing down all the choices just simply tell the person hanging out the window your order and off they go to gather it. Be warned this is a cash only joint (although they might take checks as well, but definitely not CCs.) I’m usually able to get whatever I want, but occasionally they will be out of something… but then there are the pumpkin donuts. Oh, the pumpkin donuts… drool. These are going to be more difficult to get your hands on. Last fall we were visiting my parents for a few days. Our first attempt to get pumpkin donuts… out. Let’s just face it, we were amateurs. Second attempt, another fail — but we left with the knowledge of wise ol’ Lancasterites: show up around 1am. Third time was a charm and we were able to indulge in the delicious pumpkiney cakey goodness.
It is really hard to go wrong here, but some of my regular favorites include the cream-​filled long john and the orange cream.
If you need a donut and are anywhere remotely close to Lancaster — go to Donut World. Trust me they are open and waiting for you.

What else ca I say. It’s a classic traditional old school donut shop! All hand made donuts. My favorite is the orange cream you simply can’t imagine it you have to experience it for yourself. The slightly tart citrus of the orange against the sweet tender donut sheer delight. This is followed closely by the apple fritter. Just a total classic and they do it justice. Always friendly and courteous people there. If they’re out of something you’ve got your heart set on they will make it for you! Where else are you going to find that? Well worth the trip and will definitely erase any thought you had of going to one of the chain donut shops!
