Ate here this morning with my wife. The menu is cool and has many different and unique options. The reason I’m giving a poor review is because the prices .$ 2.99 for an 8oz glass of Orange juice … 2.50 for coffee?

Great breakfast place. Happy staff and expanding. Always a good sign. I had a menu change. I like my eggs Benedict with chorizo instead of Canadian bacon. It was just like I make at home only a little better with the country potatoes I have yet to master.

This place used to be good. We were told to sit anywhere so we did. 2 person party. We sat at the table for about 8 minutes and the waitress just ignored us. Didn’t even bother to bring us a menu or ask what we wanted to drink. The place wasn’t busy so there was no need to wait so long. The other waiter kept looking at us and then at our waitress. He told her don’t you have table 10? She said oh ya. That’s when she took our order. She was to busy chopping it up with other customers at the bar. The food came quick. I ordered the biscuit and gravy. Biscuit was cut in half. Both halves were about½ in thin. I could tell the Biscuit was old. Tasted like cardboard and was very hard. Gravy was really salty. Eggs and country potatoes were ok. I finished my drink and the waitress just kept passing by and not even acknowledged us. She finally came when I put my glass at the edge of table. Terrible customer service and the food isn’t so great anymore. I went there once before and food was good. Customer service was good also. Don’t know what happened. Don’t think I am going to be spending my hard earned money there anymore.

So the family, I just finished up a bike ride, and decided to grab a late breakfast. So we pulled up and the name was different but noticed that some of the staff was still there(Kevin). We sat at the counter(bar), and ordered, wife ordered an omelette which was the special, son ordered a kids burger, and I ordered the homemade corned beef hash. My wife killed the omelette, no problem there. Asked for some lettuce and tomato for my son’s burger, it seamed the cook had a problem with that. My corned beef hash well… it was a plate with a lot potatoes, and some hash. I also hope you like butter on your toast because there is alot. From sitting at the bar I could see that the servers were trying not to upset the cook? That was kinda weird, it seamed like they were walking on egg shells. They were polite about there missing hash browns, or missing bacon, and the cook would slam the plates at the window like he had a chip on his shoulder. Told the server that there was no hash in my order, and nothing happen. :( Well I know we won’t be going there again.

My bf and I have come here SEVERAL times and we just LOVE it! Seriously, everything we’ve had is amazing! We’re now to the point that we make ourselves try something new each time… when the chefs/cooks are great, everything is great, not just one or two things. Cinnamon rolls(OMG, YUM!), muffins, grilled chicken sandwich, corned beef(house made), huevos rancheros, pancakes, omelets, burgers, breakfast sandwich & burrito… it’s all a win in our book. Everything is fresh and you can taste it! The one section on the menu we haven’t ventured into yet is the benedicts… I’m just not sure about that for my taste, personally, but maybe I’ll get there one of these days. Sarah and Kevin are the absolute best! They know our drinks and if we bring our daughter in, they know exactly what to bring her, too. It’s now to the point if we have to choose a breakfast/lunch joint, there’s no hesitation… Easy Egg has become our go-to! See, and now I’m hungry for it… man :-/

The service was not good when I came here. Scramblerz was much better. The breakfast took forever to come out and the waitress needed to be asked after a long while to please refill my orange juice. Also their orange juice is not good, either. It came out of a big cheap looking milk jug and tasted syrupy. Much different than Scramblerz. Very disappointing as I liked the other restaurant that was here, this place does not deliver.

Place has really good breakfast platters. This is the 2nd time I come & they haven’t disappointed. Had the southwestern eggs Benedict this time around & it was bomb. Fam enjoys the country fried steak & the gravy. All in all, place is really good, esp. here in Quartz Hill & the A.V. area.

Small little place, the staff is really nice. They recently changed their cinnamon rolls and they are really really good now! I ordered the Jake’s burrito and was also pretty good! Overall a great place and should check it out if you like breakfast!

We decided to both try today’s special soup, Seafood Chowder, and we’re delighted with the exceptionally well-seasoned creamy bowl of shrimp, rock fish and clam broth – and it looks pretty, too :-). This is one of the best tasting bowls of chowder I’ve had in a long time. No photograph could do the flavor justice, with its perfect smokey balance with the bacon. Yum! Our waitress Sarah was fabulous, had a big smile, and went out of her way to see that service was on point and we were well taken care of. Mr. Picky asked me to make a note of the fact that the serving size was very generous, and so we have lunch leftovers for tomorrow. The chicken fried steak was good, the gravy that came with it was very flavorful and enjoyable, and the country potatoes had a little bit of onion and bell pepper to really just give them a little extra flavor punch. Overall, this was a really great breakfast!

Basic and underwhelming. I had an omelet and it was probably the worst tasting omelet I’ve ever had. I couldn’t finish it. Tasted funky. I’m not sure how a simple omelet with cheese and veggies could be messed up. Maybe the ingredients weren’t fresh; I’m not sure. The potatoes were good/okay and my partner seemed to not dislike his meal, but also said it was simply okay and not impressed. The server was nice, so service was not an issue. The place is cute and quaint but tiny and hard to get a table on a weekend morning since the place is so small. Won’t really bother coming back. It left me craving a good brunch.

We had a great breakfast! We were looking for Scramblez Café, but our GPS led us to this here. A very friendly staff. They offered us wonderful suggestions. I opted for the Benedict menu and dined on the chicken/waffle Benedict. Amazing, however, the poached eggs were cooked beyond my liking. Husband ordered the carnitas omelet. Mild in heat, very tasty. He would order again.

WOW, I SIMPLYASKFORNOONIONSONMYBURGERDUETOALLERGY. Burger arrives and onions on it. I send it back politely and cook takes onions off that were in the cheese which have all the enzymes from the onions and sends it back out. There is a pass through so I see it all. I explain to the waitress about needing to have no contact with the onions as I am anaphylaxis to onions. She takes it back and cook has a fit right in the window and wiggles his head back and forth and mouths a bunch of crap tight in the window. Wow don’t misread the ticket in the first place and it won’t come back. Sadly me and my wife are weekly patrons here and love thier food. One bad egg ruined it for the whole carton. Left a $ 10.00 tip on $ 26.00 ticket for waitress for being so attentive and apoligetic but left note for cook to read tickets and respect customers.

I was greeted with a «good morning!» As soon as I walked in. My friends were already at the table, so I didn’t have to wait. Service was great, and our food came out quickly! Potatoes were seasoned perfectly! And my veggie omelet was delicious with my side of fresh fruit :) I’ll have breakfast here again!

Drove out of my way to come here, passing some other great restaurants and I have to say I shouldn’t have come at all. Since it’s a cramped room, limited seating and no wait area to speak of, when you’re seated you get stares from all the hungry people waiting to get seated and eat. I guess I can forgive that and just face away from the door, but that’s not always possible now is it? Then came the food, which came at slightly longer than what is expected for a simple meal. The meal. *sigh* I ordered the«Easy Up» which is an egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms and goat cheese. Hold the toast, and make my fruit cup strawberries and bananas only. Simple, right? Not only was my omelette super greasy, but it wasn’t tasty fats like butter or ghee. The goat cheese was a blob of bad, it overpowered everything. I think feta crumbles used sparingly would be better. Omelettes are supposed to be light and airy, this was not. How can you call yourself an egg place if you can’t land your eggs? In it’s defense, it came warm. So there’s that. The strawberries were ripe, but there were some definite«too ripe/gone bad» spots on them I had to cut off. The bananas were bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I got my meal down, but my stomach wasn’t happy after that, suffice to say. Our waitress ignored our empty glasses despite coming by twice, once to drop off the check and second because we flagged her down to refill our drinks. Terrible dish and waitress aside, there was this Non-stop. Loud. Searing. High-pitched SQUEAL coming from a machine in kitchen. It was like needles through my eyes and I don’t know how anyone could tolerate it. I couldn’t choke down my food fast enough to get out of there, and I won’t be back. On the plus side, that’s one less person staring you down while waiting for a seat. :)

My husband and I decide to try out this place because we always loved going to Scramblez. It was pretty busy but we got seated right away. We were very excited about the menu because it had fun items on it like 4 different ways to have eggs benedict. My husband got an omelet and I got the California benedict. He asked for biscuits and gravy. His meal came with a biscuit so we were told it would be extra for the gravy. We thought it was a little odd but figured it must be homemade and tasty. Some time passed and I watched our meal sitting under the heat lamp through the food pass for at least 5 minutes! I then heard a server ask the cook if they had better looking guacamole(both our dishes came with it on there). Finally our food came. No joke the guacamole was almost black! Guess they didnt have fresh stuff. We were so hungry that we both scrapped it off and continued eating. His meal was beyond greasy and I could tell he was disappointed. At one point he said his hashbrowns tasted like they had dirt on them. Mine was okay but lacked too much flavor. He got his extra gravy that we had to pay for and you could taste the powder in it… it was no where near being homemade. I really hope it gets better. You hate ro see small buisnesses go under but they need to focus on the quality of their food. We were so disappointed and most likely won’t be back for a while.

Husband: «So, how does yours taste?» Me: «…like a Unilocal review.» Dammit! Was so excited to go out for breakfast but this place left me disappointed. Didn’t get any recognition when we came in and squirreled our way to a table. The place was crowded and you could tell that it was mostly regulars as they were getting great treatment. It was amazing how the lethargic service and kitchen chatter changed at a second’s notice when the owner walked in. All of a sudden things were being cleaned and tables were being attended to. Once we got attention though our lady server was nice. Can’t really complain about her, except for getting our check wrong but she fixed that quickly. But still — this place has maybe 12 tables total. How does it take 20+ minutes for a plate of eggs and potatoes to come out… AND be cold for that matter. Also please note I never add salt or pepper to my food. Like, ever. But I had to because this stuff was so tasteless. I had the sausage skillet with scrambled eggs and biscuits. Husband had fajita omelette. As you might notice from my other reviews I loved good biscuits and gravy. These rubbery biscuits with gelatinous glop of «gravy» are nowhere near good. Even the wheat toast hubby had was void of taste. I’ll stop complaining about the lackluster food, service, and environment as I think you get my point. Though I want to add that it was also concerning hearing how worried about being taxed on non-existent tips for to-go orders they were. It was all we could hear from the servers as they fiddled around with their new POS system. In conclusion, no. Go elsewhere.
