Elegant Affairs

We attended a murder mystery dinner. The service was disorganized, and food came out cold. Everyone at our table was disappointed (8 people). One of our party ordered a vegan meal that had to be sent back. It was a gooey lump of rice inside a sweet red pepper. Awful. Ten years ago we had our daughter’s wedding at Elegant Affairs, and it was wonderful. Something happened to this place, and it is not good.

I called and spoke with Brenda (the owner/​coordinator) in regards to my concerns with our wedding as well as sent a certified letter to her. She was nasty, rude and very unprofessional. She kept interrupting when I spoke, trying to convince me that my wedding was perfect (but left as our reception started) I was willing to provide photos and video of the entire night until our conversation got out of hand. Before ending our conversation I was threatened about her husband being an attorney… sorry lady but I don’t give 2 shits if your husband is the pope or even the president of the United states. You seriously need to learn some people skills and take all feedback, good or bad as a tool to improve your business. Most of all learn to be sympathetic and apologize, it works wonders and goes a long way.

We had are wedding here on December 19 2015 it was amazing we wer so blessed with wonderful people that worked with us. Elegant affair is not just a hall they do everything they care !! From the owner, coordinator, chef, and staff are amazing people there are priceless, words could not explain my appreciation and gratitude. The food was amazing n all my guest could not stop talking about the food n hall n the people who made this an unbelievable night. We wer bless to have found elegant affair. This is the place.. THX U BRENDA, NICOLE, CHEF N STAFF for making are dream wedding come true.

Elegant Affairs was the perfect Place for our event! Friendship Bridge had its annual fundraiser Day of the Dead. Our event is growing and elegant affairs was a perfect place for the number of people. It worked out great for the auction tables and tipica store. Great flow from registration table, bar, food table and store, to payment table.

I would never have an event here. The security guard was rude, aggressive, and harassing. The servers barely gave us any food on the buffet line, wouldn’t let us serve ourselves, and supposedly they announced we could have «seconds», but put the food away before anyone got any. There was so much food leftover from the wedding that had to be thrown away it was such a waste! We were all starving after the wedding and had to go get fast food. The cash bar, was expensive and the alcohol pours were scant. I drank 3 tequila drinks and barely got a buzz. The DJ and music sucked. He didn’t play anything modern and the bride told him not to play certain songs, but he did anyway. Don’t invite me to an event here please, thanks.

I had my ceremony outside, it was beautiful. You truly forget your out in the desert. It’s a hidden gem and the staff was really friendly. I’d recommend this place to others.

Not a fan of the staff

My daughter was married in November 2012. Karen & her staff were patient, available, & professional. The venue was clean & set up to our specifications. Karen & her D.J. were a GREAT team. I recommend Elegant Affairs to everyone. My husband & I plan on having more events here. Karen & her staff are the best. Thank you Karen.

Absolutely Beautiful!!! My Daughter had her wedding there In May 2014 and it was perfect! As a mother of the bride the last thing I wanted was to worry about the table centerpieces, tablecloths, chair covers etc, so we chose to use the beautiful centerpieces that the venue provides and it looked amazing my guests were very impressed. The caterers were awesome the food was delicious. They are very professional and highly in to details so I relaxed and enjoyed the reception, The DJ was very professional and fun he kept the program rolling! We had to use a licensed baker so we choose Cakes by Carol very beautiful cake. My florist was awesome she decorated the cake with beautiful Roses. The first time we went to the venue to meet with the owner, as soon as we walked in there everything was so clean and no signs of dust. This was very important to me because my allergies are terrible and my new son-​in-​law has asthma, so no sneezing attacks! Its best to book this place a year in advanced to get a evening Saturday, lucky for us we got it, it was the only one left, maybe because it was memorial day weekend! I only wish the venue was bigger it only accommodates 200 guests. It was worth every penny of it! I will definitely recommend this Venue to everyone! So yeah Happy parents and happy couple! :)

My husband and I had our wedding here about a month ago… it was beyond beautiful! I absolutely love Karen and all of her staff. The staff was beyond helpful and courteous! Karen is amazing at what she does! This place is extremely affordable and comes with a ton of amenities that other venues charge extra for. The place is very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married or needing a place for large party. Karen and her staff made my husband and I feel more than important and would not change anything about the service they provided us.

Located out in Lancaster /​Palmdale /​AV area. It’s on 10^th street, a few hundred yards from a major intersection, though there’s just a lot of desert next to it. As for the layout… the parking lot is rather huge. It has a nice sized bar area, maybe for like 8 – 12 people. The main inside hall has 2 raised stages on opposite ends, a sizable dance floor and about 15 circular dining tables for a reception.
In the back is a huge «back yard», which has a mini-​house for the bride to reside, a podium’esq stage, a large grassy area with a stone walkway.

So all-​in-​all it was a nice wedding. As a general tip, they don’t allow you to bring bottled water in (it MIGHT be vodka they said), and they have a large security guard at the entrance.
The organization of the staff was pretty good. The reception included StoneFire Grill catering, which wasn’t too bad. Anyway other than being kind’ve small, it was a good wedding place, especially for the Antelope Valley…

Plain and simple this place has a very unprofessional staff they are rude not kid friendly I would strongly advise not booking events here very rude.

My friend had her wedding here and it was beautiful! The ceremony was outside and very pretty. The reception was great, lots of room for all of the guests to bust a move. I’m usually skeptical about buffet style serve it yourself food, but Elegant Affairs must have some great people back in the kitchen. Food was splendid! I had a blast attending a wedding here and if I don’t die alone I may have my own with Elegant Affairs.

I attended a wedding here last year and was thoroughly impressed. The ceremony, reception and dinner went off beautifully. The coordination of the event was clearly planned out and went off without a hitch. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food and DJ that the venue provided. I don’t visit Lancaster that much, but if I ever did, I would recommend Elegant Affairs to anyone looking for a wedding venue!
