Golden Corral

We came down from Buckeye Lake for Thanksgiving. This was my first year not cooking but I just didn’t want to clean it all up. The employees were so friendly and the food was amazing. I don’t do buffets but I was so impressed! Even called the managers over to compliment this restaurant. Stellar job and great employees. We will be back!

Today I went to Golden Corral. Their food does not cater to many people’s likings. If your are looking for a cheap way to stuff yourself than this is the place to go. But if you are trying to eat healthier than this definitely NOT where you should go just stay home it’s worth it. I think it is peculiar that everything else is self serve except the drinks. Our server kept apologizing for everything. I definitely would eat Uno’s instead.

I have been to this location a few years ago. Its a typical Golden Corral… lots of food that is pretty decent for a buffet, but they stuff people in thIs establishment like sardines. Each overfed arse is $ 10.99 in their pocket, so the more butts equal more money.
The first bad experience was probably a little over 2 years ago. We came for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was supposed to run until 11am that day. We arrived at approximately 10:15am 45 minutes to have a nice breakfast. After one trip to the buffet, the staff began to remove the breakfast items and started the lunch menu at 10:30!
It took two years and coupons in the mail for me to try this place again, which leads me to my second bad experience which occurred this past Friday. Like I previously mentioned, I received coupons in the mail advertising $ 6.99 breakfast. The coupon stated breakfast was served until 11am on Fridays. We were there at approximately 10:45am. I knew we would probably be getting the lunch buffet for arriving that late… No problem. $ 6.99 for lunch buffet was a deal I thought. As we walked towards the restaurant, an employee was exiting and informed us and four other customers the restaurant didn’t OPEN until 11!!! So along with crappy service, they have false advertising!
I will NEVER return, not even in a few years!

I was so darn excited to finally eat at a golden coral! However when I grabbed my plate and seeked food they had an awful selection. I was so disappointed. The food was cold too. I will not be eating here again :/

Dumb to have an entire fountain of drinks that you cannot access yourself when everything else is self serve. That’s my only gripe. Lunch prices are fair for what you get. Go before 4. It’s all you can eat for $ 7.99.

This a good and clean buffet. You can watch the cold items, such as salsa, being made just behind the bar.
As a fun note, they have 3 fondue fountains and a cotton candy machine!!!
