I wasn’t impressed with the donuts, and the product must come first for any food establishment. Maybe I’m just spoiled by Buckeye Donuts. This is a nice looking shop, and very clean, too. The decór is interesting; murals line the walls. I don’t get the monkey theme — monkeys at the beach, on surfboards, etc. What does this have to do with«Gypsy Joe?» I really dig the picnic style benches, and the kids’ table in the middle of the floor. It seems really family friendly. The service felt really lacking. Each time I asked for a donut, the staff was slow and struggled to even locate which one I requested. I’m fairly positive he gave me the wrong donut for one of my six, as well. I’d be more upset, but this was a treat from a family member. Gift horse, ya know? The donuts were decent quality, but the one I most looked forward to — the maple bacon — really disappointed me. It tasted stale, and the underlying donut was bland and too chewy. The Bavarian crème was my favorite. I think their labelling system is cool, eg. «PB» written in icing on top for peanut butter. They do deals like BOGO after a certain time in the evening, which is also really neat(and smart!). If I go back, I’ll try the ice cream and update my review.

BOGO donuts after 5pm, and some of the best I’ve had at that. I didn’t think that Lancaster would be the donut capitol of Ohio, but with this place and Donut World down the street, it’s fast becoming that in my book. Maple bacon donut was out of this world. Didn’t try the ice cream, but it’s obvious that was good too based on the long line of locals at the counter.

Moose tracks had lots of chocolate and peanut buttercups! Plus a good value for price of the scoop!

Went in for peanut butter cup, they were out. Told the girl I wanted something with peanut butter and chocolate, and she replied Buckeye. She handed it to me and its vanilla with Carmel. So the girl at the register who heard me tell her chocolate says hey I’ll switch it out for the ultimate chocolate buckeye. Well it was ultimate Carmel and vanilla no chocolate. Guess working ice cream you get to where you don’t know chocolate from vanilla. But this is what happens when it’s all kids and no adults working.

If you want, fresh, delicious, donuts, this is the place to go. The variety is grand and they take suggestions from patrons on new ideas. The ice cream is creamy, and full of flavor, and the ice cream cakes are to die for! You choose from a white or chocolate cake and fill it with any flavored ice cream. Reasonably priced, a very fun, friendly atmosphere. We love Gypsy Joe’s!

This is a fun shop. You walk in a get smacked in the face by the amazing aroma of doughnuts. The staff were all very friendly, and like most(if not all) icecream ‘palors’, you can taste anything you want. They have a plethora of flavors. cotton candy, coconut, black raspberry chip, butter pecon, and many more. However, I don’t think they had plain chocolate or vanilla. My parents swear by this place, but at this time, I think I’ll stick with my cold stone. I do love the ‘artwork’ on the walls. I love monkeys, and they are EVERYWHERE!

Love this place!!! Donuts are yummy and I know I will hear it but I do believe their their apple fritters are equally as good as Donut World. There I said it out loud I’ll probably be tarred and feathered by sunrise LOL. I finally moved past eskimo kisses to try other flavors. Pistachio strawberry and buckey to date have been delicious. My only fault is that they never seem to have enough seating LOL Give this place a try you will not be disappointed.

Had the doughnuts at my work a couple weeks ago and they were quite good. I stopped in for an ice cream cone. The ice cream quality was not so good and my ice cream was freezer burnt. For $ 4.25 I would rather go to Greaters or Cold Stone

Awesome ice cream and friendly staff. Recently moved to a newer and much nicer location. Could use a little more outdoor seating. How about some rocking chairs along the front sidewalk? I recommend this place to anyone in Lancaster looking for a good ice cream cone.
