The shop owner is what totally makes this a five star. We had a crazy long discussion about public accessible restrooms in downtown Lancaster. I almost didn’t go in as their window doesn’t really do the store justice. Only ended up buying a couple of pair of cute socks but they have lots of wonderful small gift items and cool pens!

PLEASENOTEBEFOREYOUBUY: This store does not give cash/credit refunds. Store credit only! Bought an expensive gift here that had to be returned. Store owner who made the sale assured us at POP that«of course» it could be returned, but did not additionally inform us of the limitation on returns. This is a nice enough store, with some cool chachkas and a decent selection of natural fiber women’s clothing(men, we’re out of luck). But be aware of the return policy before you buy!

i will second khenpo and maryalice’s reviews — this is a wonderful store with funky jewelry, gifts, cards and kitsch. what i love the most about this store is the FLAX! they carry a full line of flax clothing in sizes petite-plus size and often have great prices on their sale items. FLAX is a kind of linen clothing that is really flowy, comf, timeless and fashionable. the owner is the nicest salesperson i have ever met and will help you find pieces that look good on you. today she helped me pick out my wedding dress! love it!

This pioneering little gift shop/clothier opened in Lancaster in 1988 — about 2 decades before the city’s current cultural renaissance. It was truly hip before its time. Here you’ll find 1100 square feet of funky gift items, home items, antique/repro toys, gorgeous Hamilton watches, pen sets, handmade cards and natural-fiber clothing and accessories fit for the choosiest person on your gift list(even if that’s you). My favorite offerings? The small, yet fun, single-sheet wrapping paper selection never disappoints. There are also toiletries, stationery sets, gifts for children and more. The owner is a craftsperson with international flair who has done downtown Lanc. a service for several decades. Take time to look around: It’s jam-packed with stuff from… well, From Here to You-Know-Where.
