IHOP

Waited 17 minutes just for a waitress just to come greet us at our table – after I had flagged down the hostess to find someone a woman who barely new English (welcome to America) who was assisting the table directly behind us «didn’t see us» and «thought someone [the hostess of all people] was getting our drinks». Will not be returning to this location because clearly waiting tables is an extremely difficult task for these people.

I eat at this location most Sunday mornings. There has been some change in staff. I hope all for the better. The host staff could use some additional training on customer service. I love the wait staff. Especially because my son John Haynie works here. Please stop by and say hello for me. If he doesn’t live up to your expectations let him know his mother would expect more of him. Enjoy life, fun and pancakes.

Driving from Dallas to San Antonio and stopped here for breakfast today at 11am. We were advised there would be a 25 minute wait which we were fine with, but the wait ended up being closer to 40 minutes. After being seated, waitress Ashley took our drink and food order. Twenty minutes went by and we still hadn’t gotten drinks yet. We had to stop Ashley to remind her we still had no coffee. We even stopped a manager to let her know we hadn’t gotten drinks yet, but she didn’t seem concerned. About an hour after being seated we still had not received our food. It was very frustrating. We had to ask for more coffee too. Finally once an hour passed with no food we were beyond furious and told the manager we were leaving. All she said was sorry. This was the worst IHOP experience I’ve ever had and has totally turned me off on IHOP completely… never again! We ended up walking to the Taco Cabana next door to eat where we saw other people there who also left IHOP in frustration.

Stopped by to place a to go order while on lunch at work. For the refund, it’s a little after 3am on a Saturday morning. I waited 10 minutes at the counter before anyone even spoke to me. Then some lady yelled from the back of the room, we’ll be right with you. 7 minutes later she came and took my order.
There were about 12 people came and left because of the long wait times, not being greeted or even acknowledged. Two groups odds people even commented that this place was racist as they were leaving.
All i know is that there is plenty of staff on duty, 1 out of every 8 tables have someone seated (trust me, i had the time and counted them) and I’ve been waiting 48 minutes for a simple order while i see and hear the staff laughing and cutting up in the back. Now i have to go back to work with no lunch.

Go to the IHOP in Waxahachie, not this one! I was sooo disappointed in this IHOP. We live about 20 minutes away, and I ordered the pumpkin pancakes to go. Drove all the way up there and the lady at the counter says: «Oops, sorry, we’re all out of pumpkin pancakes.» You didn’t think to check on that when I called and placed the order?
She didn’t offer a discount or offer to comp the meal, since I had I waited for my meal to be ready and drove all the way up there. They didn’t even seem very apologetic. Terrible customer service — I won’t be going back to this location again. :(

Excellent food and service!!! Major improvement from years ago –since they open. Now you receive a warm welcome & they seat you down as soon as there’s a table available. I love the team work, if the waitress can’t make it with your food, the manager will bring you your food. The food is good… I’ll definitely come back!

great place except three word: nutella hot chocolate

Hmmmm. I find it interesting that this is not a pay on your way out location like every other IHOP I have been to. I’m just saying. Draw whatever conclusions you will.

Seated very fast! :-) Waiter was really nice and pleasant. Our drinks came out rather quickly. The food followed at a fast soon thereafter.
They make the best pancakes, and omelette’s ever! I’m always happy to eat t IHOP.
Usually you have to wait for a while to be seated because so many people eat here. I’m extremely happy when I am able to be seated and served quickly.

Went On Wed. 02/​22/​2012, service was excellent, and the food was prepared exact and delicious. Loved the peace and quietness, and the attention we received because it was not crowded. I will most definately return.
