Have had many great sandwiches at this Isaac’s, but last Thursday 3⁄25 they really dropped the ball, Sent me home with two birds of paradise and a reuben that weren’t toasted at all. Found out those sandwiches are not good untoasted! The staff was a lot friendlier with each other than with the customers, and evidently they having too much fun to pay attention to the food. From now on, I’ll only hit Isaac’s when I’m up at Lititz, where it seems cleaner and more professional.

I had the mallard. Was tasty. He had the twisted chicken. His chicken was precooked and not heated all the way thru. There were maybe 3 other tables sat. Our waitress was cheerful but didn’t offer a refill on our drinks at all. When asked if the chicken was precooked, her answer was a cheery yes so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Wasn’t the point. I used to love coming here but this location had a slightly run down tired appearance and the staff hid in the kitchen area.

I’m out here for business and had heard good things about these sandwiches so decided to give it a try. So glad I did because the food was delicious. I got a sandwich with their cranberry almond chicken salad. It was so good. They also give you the option to swap out their chips for apple slices or baby carrots and ranch at no charge which I did. Service was top notch as well. They were quick to make my order and thanked me by name. If I’m ever in this area again I will definitely go back.

This was our first time here. Came over for lunch after surrendering my turtles next door at «That Pet Place». We were starving and i didnt feel like driving elsewhere and this was next door. The BF had the Cormorant wrap and i had the Isaac’s Famous Pepperjack Tomato Soup and the Turkey Reuben. The Turkey Reuben is served with swiss cheese and sauerkraut and a touch of thousand island dressing, then grilled on rye with chips on the side The Cormorant has cranberry-almond chicken salad, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes in a cheddar wrap. The Pepperjack tomato soup is to die for. Its creamy and made just right. It went well with my sandwich. For dessert, I was recommended a chocolate brownie. It was just a regular David’s brownie. It was good though. Lol. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll try something else on the menu. I do recommend this place.

Great place to grab lunch or dinner with friends. Fresh food, nice people, and a good atmosphere. What more could you ask for.

Rip off pricing! The combo(½ sandwich and cup of soup or two ½ sandwiches) provides no discount whatsoever for the sandwich and just a few cents off on the soup It actually costs more to order a ½ sandwich than half the price of a full sandwich. The combo price is made up by selecting a ½ sandwich(more expensive than what half of the full sandwich price) then selecting either a cup of soup(a few cents cheaper than the full price) or another ½ sandwich Overall the prices are high. $ 7.49 for a lettuce wedge salad, $ 4.99 for a mixed greens side salad, $ 8.59 for a turkey club etc. I don’t like being ripped off and don’t like prices higher than they should be so wont be back here and i suggest the bagel deli café next door which is great and has New York City style bagels, lox, deli sandwiches. etc. But closes at 4 p.m. The lentil soup was adverised as spicy lentil soup but has no bite whatsoever. Still it was okay.

If you ever need to order catering, trays of food for a party or just want a fabulous meal, this is the place to go. Not only is the food delicious, but Lynesa and the employees at the Centerville Road deli will go above and beyond to help you. I work in Philadelphia and needed to order food trays for a dear co-worker who lost her spouse. I visit Lancaster often and have eaten at Isaac’s various locations. When I called to inquire if they could deliver the trays, Lynesa could not have been more accommodating in helping me with the process. Our dear friend sent this message to us…“This ended up being so perfect. It was delicious, and became the focal point of our gathering, where we shared food, drink and memories.” Thank you from all of us. You made a very difficult situation a little easier. Kathy H.

Different week… different city. This week, Lancaster, PA. Worked late and was tired from flying out of Grand Rapids early in the morning so I wanted something quick and easy. The woman at the desk of the hotel suggested the sandwich shop next door. Said it was good and I could walk there. I was basically sold, but did my usual« Unilocal Check» and the reviews were mostly good… so Isaac’s it was. They had 4 soups and a gazillion Sandwich Choices. I was overwhelmed by all the sandwich choices as I was tired so I elected for the«Build Your Own Sandwich» and ordered sandwich of Grilled Chicken Brest, Bacon, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato on French Bread with Pesto as the dressing. I was going for a «Pesto Club Sandwich» thing. It was great. Got the combo which included chips and a drink and a small dill pickle. I also ordered a small side of Tortellini pasta salad. The pasta salad was pretty good, but to be honest the sandwich was the star. This place will be a regular stop for me over the next few months since I will be working here off and on until December. Couple hints… go on their web site and sign up for their frequent diner program. Other hint is that if you are staying at the Hampton Inn next door and show your room key you get 15% off you bill. Not bad. As usual… the Lancaster, PA Unilocalsters did me right!

Have eaten here over many years. Various sandwich tried and all good. My favorite is the tomato soap and half a Ruben. Multi colors chips compliment well. Very reasonable lunch.

I was really hungry in Lancaster and I had no idea where to eat. I saw that Isaac’s Restaurant was nearby, so I decided to go. I ordered half of the Gooney Bird, which was a sandwich which came with really good turkey, sprouts, mushrooms, cucumbers, and melted muenster Cheese, along with chips. The half of the sandwich also came with Pepperjack Tomato Soup and it was so good. I also ordered the Speckled Lemonade, which was a delicious and amazing sugar rush. Isaac’s Restaurant was surprisingly good for lunch. And as a bonus they give you a little plate of pickles!

Consistent sandwiches with good service. Portion sizes have shrunk over time and cost can add up, for a sandwich shop. 3 plates/3 drinks and one side was $ 46.00. I can spend a $ 50.00 bill in better places, but the food is just fine. If you are a regular sign-up for there on line coupons in order to save some $‘s.

Pretty good quality, but inconsistent from one location to another… and perhaps(?) depends on who happens to be working. On the expensive side, so should be great ALL the time – not just ok. (Btw, my experience at the Strasburg location has been similar, but a little better overall.) I have included a photo of the«regular size» «Pterodactyl» that’s priced at $ 7.39. Be sure to check it out if you want a good laugh! A misnomer for sure… a name change to domething like«The Hummingbird» would be much more accurate.(PLEASENOTE: pic shows Regular Size – not«small»… but I can’t change the caption.) Think I’ll go around the corner to Subway next time around.. at least will know what I’m getting and won’t feel that«plucked chicken» twinge.

They have the best grilled sandwiches I’ve ever had. I used to live in Lancaster, PA and would go there whenever I could. Now, I visit them when I’m in town on business. The way that they combine the flavors is amazing and I love the pretzel bread on some of the sandwiches. The tortellini salad is wonderful, too.

Isaac’s service is always attentive and cheerful. Their menu options for gluten-free guests are plentiful and the food is always superb — especially for g-f! They make their own g-f bread, they take g-f seriously, and they take more steps than most restaurants to prevent cross-contamination. providing excellent, safely g-f food is just what they do. I never feel like my g-f needs are a hassle there and, more importantly, i’ve never gotten sick. they have one g-f dessert: a chocolate torte. it’s smooth and rich — usually so rich that I end up bringing half home!

A long time favorite of mine and my kids, not so much for the meat n potatoes kind of men in our family who always leave hungry. Interesting sandwich combinations named after birds, Miami Vice type décor, fast, causal, friendly, and a Lancaster staple. Better for lunch then dinner if you are a big eater. Little on the pricey side for a sandwich but constantly good food and service.

This is a destination lunch whenever we pass thru Lancaster. Clean, cheerful décor, with an easy-going diner like vibe. The little complimentary bowl of pickles hits the table with the menus and we each scramble for our favorites! Great selection of sandwiches with something for every member of the family. Excellent soups, several sandwiches are available as a ½ with a cup of soup on the side. Side chips are gourmet multicolored ones — I always beg the sweet potato ones from the rest of the family. Free refills on drinks, friendly service. Isaac’s is a local treasure!
