Our second visit of the day. After going to the Willow store we drove up to Centerville to check out this location. You’ll want to look for the sign at this location because there are 2 big bushes blocking the actual store front so you can’t see the window or the open sign as you walk up to the front door. Upon entering you’ll notice this is the smallest location of the three JPP stores. However it’s packed to the gills with content. The manager asked us what we were looking for and after telling him we wanted PSP games he directed us to a shelf. The selection was good, however was definitely less than the first store. This store was a little bit busier than the first location and the staff was hustling around. We actually spent the least amount of time at this location. My nephew did find 2 games and we took them to the counter. I looked at some old Intellivision stuff that was in the case which was pretty cool and then we paid and moved on to the next location. Just like the Willow location. I found the staff super friendly and professional.

Simply put, this store is amazing. Allow me to tell you why. My wife and I have been coming to Lancaster every year for the past 7 years. About two years ago, I started collecting retro consoles. I have about nine consoles so far. I decided to search Unilocal for retro video game stores and Just Press Play was 10 minutes away from the hotel I was staying at. I made it a point during our vacation to visit the store after reading all the reviews, and I was certainly glad I did. The staff at Just Press Play were very helpful and had a wonderful demeanor. After staring at all the retro game boxes on the upper shelf, I had asked about their consoles. I was on the hunt for a Turbografx 16 for awhile. While they had a console in the store, they didn’t have the power supply(d’oh!). So I had to pass on it. But while was there, I picked up a SNES at a great price. This console was in pristine conditioning and wound up being a lovely addition to my collection. When I returned to the hotel I tried to hook the console up, just to test it before I drove back home, which was a four hour trip. Sadly, I could not get it to work. I drove back to the store the next morning on my way home and explained that I just wanted to make sure the console worked before traveling all the way home. The folks at Just Press Play understood and happily hooked up the console right away and eased my fears. Once I got home and hooked it up it worked wonderfully(it must have been something with the hotel tv) Great staff, great prices, wonderful childhood memories. What more can you ask in a store? I will make it a point to visit this store every time I return to Lancaster PA!

This is my gaming store of choice. Everybody who works there is extremely knowledgeable about games from all systems. There is a gaming atmosphere there, unlike the run of the mill video game stores at the mall. Just Press Play sells games and systems from from Intellevision and Atari, up to the newest and most up to date games, systems and accessories. The walls are also covered with collectables from all eras of gaming. Very interesting items to look at and purchase! Also, the best part about this store: the prices. Whenever you walk into this store, you will get the biggest selection, and the prices are generally a few dollars lower than the chain stores and other local stores. There is also a large selection of DVDs for sale at low prices.
