I live on the east side of Lancaster and the local KFC near me on East Avenue J is terrible. I’ve giving them numerous chances but I will no longer go there the staff is very rude that would be my biggest complaint. the quality of the food at KFC is gone downhill over the past years. The new nashville chicken is disgustinh and I don’t believe it will stick around long. Bye Bye KFC I’ll stick to Popeye’s Chicken much better.

Being from the south, my grandmother loved Kentucky Fried Chicken. If she didn’t feel like cooking, the only place she would stop by would be KFC. Well I’ll tell you, after our last visit here, my grandmother and Harland would be turning in their grave. We ordered the 16 piece bucket family meal and the popcorn chicken for one of our kids. The 16 piece meal comes with 4 sides and 8 biscuits. For our sides, we chose the mash potatoes and gravy and the cole slaw. I’ll start with the mashed potatoes and gravy. They were OK — not spectacular, not mediocre, just OK and the only thing we really didn’t have a complaint about. The cole slaw seemed solid when we dished it out. However as we ate, it leached out a pond of cole slaw juice turning out mashed potatoes into some kind of potato/slaw soup. As for the biscuits, we received 7 regular sized biscuits and one ¼ sized biscuit in the shape of a small rock. It was almost like they took the scraps from the dough, tried to make a biscuit and served it to us as a full biscuit. The popcorn chicken is supposed to come with 4 cookies. I say supposed because when we got home with our meal, they were no where to be found! Now for the coup de gras, the chicken. 16 pieces comes with 4 thighs, 4 breasts, 4 drumsticks and 4 wings. The thighs are slit in two, so you actually 4 half size thighs. The breast appear to be split in thirds. When I want a thigh, I want a whole thigh, not one cut in two — so you can up your count(and the price) on the number of pieces; same for the breasts. These are the tiniest pieces of chicken I have ever seen! Overall bad experience and it will probably be a long time for my next visit.

Sorry, foods greasy, fatty and very salty. I no longer eat here, because a, little pricey for the poor unhealthy quality.

You just never know what you’re going to get when you go here. Sometimes it’s mediocre, sometimes it’s terrible, and sometimes it’s delicious. I have found that most of the time the staff has been friendly. They definitely need to upgrade the intercom system through the drive-thru.

I’d love to give this place negative stars if possible. The food is never fresh, the service is rude at best, and even though this very location is the one where I got the information about signing up for text message ads and coupons, they NEVER honor the texted coupons and special offers! They use a cop-out, because the texted offers say«At participating locations», so they always say they’re not one of the participating locations. Long John Silver’s used to be a really awesome place to eat… back when they battered and fried your food right there in front of you. Ever since they teamed up with KFC, everything went to hell in a handbasket. Stay away from this place. If you want truly great fried chicken or fish and chips, go up the street about ¼ mile to Farmer Boys in the Winco parking lot. Sure, it’s a bit more expensive, but you’ll be glad you spent the extra few bucks.

When you order something as simple as a two drumsticks with mashed potatoes no gravy sorry but I think it’s pretty simple to get the order right! Apparently not at this location got all the way back to my hotel before I was able to open my meal just to realize that regardless of what I told the lady regardless of the fact that at the window she repeated my order perfectly they still screwed up something as simple as to freaking drum sticks and mashed potatoes no gravy! I have never had this issue with any other KFC in my life! So not a happy cust guess next time and I advise you do the same just go to Popeyes better food better service

It’s an adventure ordering here. What’s in the bag isn’t what you order, and the line was so painful the first time you don’t want to deal with the incompetent staff to fix it. It’s too bad there’s no where else close by to get a KFC fix…

Bless KFC for being open on the holiday and getting me out of a pickle. We were out of town and just got back last night to find we have an invitation to a barbecue with friends today. So now we are charged with arriving with coleslaw in hand. What to do in a urgent crisis? Run by KFC, buy seven 16-oz. containers of coleslaw, dump them in a nice bowl, and put some parsley and sliced lemon on top to make it look pretty. Thanks for the save :)!!! LOL Why am I rating this«4» stars? Because when Mr. Picky called the location they were extremely helpful and polite. When he called back again with more questions, they continued to be very polite to him, very helpful, and just generally made it a very good experience. A place like this should be rewarded for having quality staff on hand. Moreover, in a pinch when I have no time or ingredients on-hand to make coleslaw, this is a perfectly acceptable solution :)

This location is one of those dual-purpose combo restaurants where a KFC and a Long John Silver’s are located together in the same store. I had driven by the place a few times as we are currently on contract in the AV and I saw the signs advertising for Cod baskets. Being really in the mood for some good fish I decided to stop and try this offering. It could not have been any worse. The fish itself was fine, but instead of serving it fresh, my cod had been sitting under a heat lamp for what must have been forever. The batter was completely sodden through with grease with not one bit of crispness left to it. It was almost spongey and pulled away from the fish in unctious shreds. What is worse, the entire plate had this old-grease funk smell to it that was revolting. The potato wedges and fish emanated an odor rather like an old bacon grease can. It’s too bad, because the fish inside would have been great if it had been cooked in clean oil and served fresh rather than left under a heat-lamp longer than a Goldie Hawn tanning session. If you order fish there, go inside and watch them to make sure they are cooking your fish fresh and not pulling it off a warming tray. Perhaps that way you will get an edible meal. As for me, I won’t be returning.

I went through the drive-thru and made the mistake of not checking my food. Unfortunately I was missing part of my order and even worse was when I noticed I was 30 miles away. I called and spoke to Josue the assistant manager and he promised to make it up the next time I was passing through. Long story short, Josue wasn’t there when I passed back through town a couple days later but Erik more than made up for the missing biscuits. Nice clean store, very nice people!
