I had a really great experience with a consultation and care at LGH urgent center. The woman at the front desk helped me get into the facility in my wheel chair(sprained my ankle really bad playing kickball) and checked me in right away. I was brought into the consultation room after about 20 minutes of waiting and then the nurses and docs saw me within a few minutes. Diagnostics, X-ray, and diagnosis were all pretty seamless and quick and I was checked in at 730pm on a Saturday. They close at 8. I was very happy with my experience. Thanks again! I chose this facility because they accepted UHC.

My regular doctors office did not have any openings and my illness was severe enough to prompt a visit to urgent care. I didn’t pick this facility based on anything other then it was where my insurance told me to go. With that being said it was conveniently located, clean, and had ample parking. I did however find the wait to be long. There were a few other people in the waiting area who were there when I arrived that appeared to be waiting on other patients already taken back. I’d say the wait was a good 40 minutes or so in the waiting room out front. During that time I was told to wear a mask because of a cough. Once taken back a nurse took my vitals and said the doctor would be in shortly. Shortly ended up being a l-o-n-g time. I’m not sure how long because it was in fact so long I was able to lay down and go into a deep sleep. The doctor was nice and did the normal check. She left to write a prescription and again that wait was longer then expected. Overall I was there about 2.5 hours which seemed excessive given that they weren’t busy. My visit was a weekday right around lunchtime so I’m not sure if it was because of break relief. My condition however did not get better and I had to see my normal doctor a few days later, one also in the LGH network. It was convenient that the regular doctor was able to see all the notes from the urgent care center. Urgent care would not have been my first choice for care, especially since the copay is triple that of a normal visit but I’m glad they were available.
