Stopped in here to grab a quick early lunch. There are so many sandwich choices! Many specialty sandwiches/Panini’s/wraps. I opted for their pulled pork Panini on a Chibatta roll and my husband ordered a turkey sandwich. There were only 2 employees here, one of which was the owner a/k/a the sandwich maker. There was no one else in the place. It took almost 20 minutes for our sandwiches to be brought out to us. I know I read other reviews that stated they are a little slow so I kind of expected a little slowness but 20 minutes was a little long, which is why I didn’t give 5 stars. When my sandwich did come out, it had huge tender chunks of pork and not shredded like I prefer. The roll was really thick so if I were to order again, I would choose a different bread. I ended up taking the pork off the bread and shredding it myself and eating with a fork! The pork was very tender and juicy. I would have preferred a little more sauce on it though. I will try again but will listen to other Unilocalers and call in my order ahead of time!

I have been treated rudely by the proprietor of this deli one too many times, even when my children are present. We won’t be going back.

Fresh, gigantic sandwiches(Costanzo rolls) and delicious, unique soups! Excellent, reasonably-priced sliced luncheon meat. They even have their own homemade luncheon meats and baked goods.

This place is so cute. They had so many sandwiches and they had my fave birch beer! The people working were super friendly. The atmosphere is crazy. It’s very Lancaster-homey. I’m not from Lancaster, but if I was, it would be somewhere that I frequent! I got a chicken caesar sandwich panini thing and it was so yummy. There were so many things on the menu I want to try, so when I do, this review will be updated. I went on a weekday in the summer so it wasn’t busy at all. X’s and O’s! J

I have been to quite a few gluten free places over the years, but Broadway Deli is probably the best! I actually had to go and ask to make sure it was gluten free! Love the flatbread and the deli sandwiches. They are super nice too! I love coming here when I work close by!

Still happy to have them nearby but very disappointed the last 3 times. Dry chicken to the point of inedible in parts. One evening they wouldn’t answer the phone for us to place our order. We had to go in and wait which is kind of the point of calling ahead. Busy is great but maybe have an extra hand on the busiest days. The owner has always been kind to me. And I’m sure I’ll go again. Would like more vegetarian options. Still love the fish on Friday

Homemade croutons and fresh feta. Yum. Although I left off one star because the pasta salad was wayyyyyyy too mayonnaise-y.

We had the buffalo chicken and Greek salad with chicken. The buffalo chicken salad was breaded, but wasn’t even chicken finger quality. I’d put the meat on par with a chicken nugget. The Greek salad was similar. Lettuce was iceberg, and it had two slices of tomato, some red onion, and a little mixed cheese. The chicken was a huge let down and I could not recommend it to anyone. Charge and extra dollar and serve fresh chicken please. This is my second experience here. First wad for a couple of lackluster and over priced sandwiches. Wine be back unless I’m desperate or there’s a change of management. The food may be passable for some, but I’m sorry to say that’s not the case for me.

I can say this much I ate it because I was hungry. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. It was supposed to be marinated grilled chicken breast. I’d say it was one flavorless peice of chicken that very possibly could have been boiled. It was supposed to have carmalized onions. It didn’t it had ONE ring of a raw red onion. Too light on the roasted red pepper. I also got a cup of chili it was ok but it was not chili more of a soup consistency. I ordered a side of coleslaw just to try because I am very picky on coleslaw so I knew it may not be my type. It’s too creamy for my liking but others my like that type. My husband got the hot pepper soup. Nothing great pretty thick consistency. He also got the Italian Ruben it wasn’t quite like a Ruben it was on toasted bread but the sandwich wasn’t hot. The wait was pretty long for this to go. A solid 20 minutes. And I thibk a bit pricey.

I have gone here before and the food has been decent, which is the only reason I am not giving it 1 star. This last time I ordered the beef tenderloin sandwich. The cut of meat was not beef tenderloin. There was far too much grizzle in it to be that. The meat that was in there was overcooked, dry, and so tough I could not chew it. The sandwich was completely inedible. The staff there is friendly and the place is clean. If you are going to go there, do not order the tenderloin snadwich because you will be disappointed and hungry.

I like this place. You should go there. They make good sandwiches. They offer sides-they’re okay. The pickles are super good as well. I could take or leave the whole Broadway stage theme, but that’s their thing so it’s cool. A few times I’ve felt ambitious and created my own sandwich; they turned out pretty well. I find it best to stick with their menued sandwich ideas– they have never let me down! They use/offer Boar’s Head deli meat which, in my opinion, cannot be beat and is not overly common around here. You can call ahead if you’d like; I never do but the wait is never long.

Lancaster’s Broadway Deli is the BEST sandwich shop i have been to in Buffalo. AMAZING food, great prices, fun atmosphere, and the family that own it is so loving and caring about their product. I am all about supporting local business and this place is as good as it gets. The owners work hard to make sure their customers know how much they are appreciated.

Great food. Nice people. Just a tad pricey. Sometimes the service is slower than expected but the quality is worth the wait. I wish they delivered.

Awesome huge sandwiches! This place is one of those hidden gems. They serve a variety of sandwiches and have great daily specials that include a drink. They also make a version of a flat bread/pizza that is a great change from your normal sandwich. They are a little slow so call ahead if you are in a hurry at lunch time. I just wish I lived closer to this place so I could make it my daily lunch spot :)

We have gone here several times and I agree, best sandwich shop in Lancaster. Not that we have a plethora of them but they do make a good ‘wich. Like a deli theme, they will make it to order. Pick your type of bread, the stuff you want in the middle and the condiment of your choice. They have very good selection of the stuff in the middle and offer the Boar’s Head brand as well. Don’t know about you but I feel Boar’s Head makes a good product, and you can actually taste the difference. You can also pick a ‘wich from many offerings off their menu and call ahead for pickup or eat in. If you want gluten-free they have a very good selection of that too. We had the Friday fish fry done GF and have to tell you, it was VG. We had the GF breaded and GF grilled fishes. It comes w/the usual suspects of sides of FF, slaw and tater salad. And they put the slaw and taters in a separate container when getting it to-go. When a place makes a successful effort to separate the sides so they don’t ‘slime’ all over each other like a ‘garbage plate’ that’s a plus to me. Also it helps keep the hot stuff away from the stuff that should be cool. Good thinkin’ LBD! One comment I have is the slaw was a little bland and a touch too much mayo for me. It needed a little ‘kick’ of spices and’maybe the acid of vinegar, but that’s me … spice and acid. But the fish was VG and we’ll be doing it here more often. Yum. One other comment is the Crustini. We had the Tuscan Vegetable. First, be ware. It is a flat bread, not little round ‘crustini’ breads so it more resembles a flat-bread pizza or Mexican chalupa. I didn’t think it should have had the lettuce on it. FYI, heated lettuce wilts and gets slimy. Maybe that’s why the menu didn’t say it had it. Maybe it was an assembly faux pas. Anyway, I would cut back on the cheeses and concentrate on the title … Grilled Tuscan Veggies. Flavor it w/the oils and pesto as the menu says. But we will try one of the others on the menu for a fair comparison. One note: Watch their hours of operation. They’re not open late evening. Final word, The Lancaster town needs a place like this and you should give them a try. We have more menu to try and… We’ll be back …

Need a sandwich that’s worthy to make you feel like your in heaven? Let me start off by saying, like most of you I appreciate good food, and even if it takes a few extra minutes to prepare, you will not find me complaining. Immediately upon entering the deli you are struck with what is the most amazing smell of delicious flavors, I can’t begin to explain what it smells like because it’s just that dang good. Endless choices of sandwiches kept me staring at the detailed menu for minutes. Everything being homemade is a real treat, and the fact that they have whole wheat(the«real» good stuff) makes my inner health self go wild! Fresh ingredients are an added bonus, and with the(hopefully if they have it) Italian soup… Make a meal created for champions! Stop on In and enjoy a good, near perfect meal, the owners are extremely friendly and are there most of the time to answer any questions you might have!

This was a spontaneous choice to eat here, and all in all it was good. The stuffed banana peppers were probably the spiciest I’ve tasted, but they were delicious. The burgers were huge and what you’d expect for a pub-style restaurant. The server was prompt, efficient, and friendly.

I have eaten here at least 10 times, both eat-in and take out, and find Broadway Deli is a great choice when you want the traditional(or not so traditional) soup and sandwich item. First, the portions are huge and excellently priced. Most of the sandwich/crustini items are $ 6.50−7.50, then $ 1 extra if you want your choice of homemade side(including a daily soups, lettuce or potato/mac salad… lots of choices!). I usually save the soup/chili and take it to work the next day since it is hard enough to eat the sandwich as you get a large, full-sized portion. You can also get just about everything gluten free for a $ 1.50 up-charge, including gluten-free fish fry on certain days. Various choices among items for vegetarians, too. They have a huge selection of items, focusing mainly on sandwiches. You can get a traditional deli sandwich or something like a panini/hot grilled sandwich(philly cheesesteak, chicken fajita melt, portabello mushroom). They also give recommendations on one of their many bread selections that go best. They have a daily specials menu where they usually feature one Crustini(their version of like a open flat bread/pizza-like sandwich) one Vietnamese Bahn Mi style sandwich, and then a selection of specialty panini, wrap, and traditional sandwich. They seem like they would whip up anything you would like from their large selection of ingredients. Everything I have had is really good, and like I mentioned, large portions that will fill you up. The Crustinis are my favorite though! They also feature some specialty brand chips and pops, along with coffee so you can make it a full meal. As well, they have an extensive sliced-to-order meat and cheese deli, bakery rolls, and other local specialty frozen food, dried pasta items to go. The only reason I am subtracting a star is that in the fall, the last two times I got take-out, my order was incorrect. Once, I ordered a sandwich and soup, got home, and there was no soup(it is placed inside the takeout box). The next time I ordered the chicken lemon rice soup and what I received was more like a plain vegetable soup. I emailed their general address and one of the owners got back to me about a week later and apologized and offered to comp my meal the next time. This was around Christmas and I just haven’t made it in and I feel weird just going to the check out person unless I have a coupon or something. I appreciated the sentiment and the thankfulness they expressed for me letting them know of the issue. Sometimes there are few extra ingredients too. I ordered the Italian Beef and there were some pickled cauliflower and carrots mixed in which I would have asked for it to be without, but it wasn’t listed on the menu. Service is fast and friendly, and any food I have gotten either eat in or take-out has been ready in under 10 minutes, hot and with fresh ingredients. They have a cute décor with comfy seating and support the arts through school and community theater programs. I always recommend it for someone looking for something quick and tasty in the Lancaster/Depew area.
