Terrible. The bun bo hue tasted like dishwater. After 2 bites I returned it and ask to pay for the appetizer, which was nothing to write home about. They refused to take the dishwater off the bill. Will never return. The waitress sat beside us and ate her lunch while she flipped through channels on the tv. All around bad experience.

Called to place order for delivery and was well within their posted hours, only to be taken to a voicemail that says they are busy or closed and after several attempts I am still taken to the voicemail. Perhaps if you’re going to not stick to your posted hours they should be changed?

Family ran, authentic, great tasting, very home style, had football game on, nice people, good service. we had spring roll, phở with everything, and beef stew to go. Worth it for another. My version of 5 star spot.

This is my Go-To Vietnamese place in Lancaster City. Good food, good prices. Since I park on N. Prince Street to walk to church, I am always suspiciously close to Phở. How convenient! With their old menu, I fulfilled a goal to try almost everything on the menu besides seafood dishes. I like sushi and once in a while, a grilled salmon. Otherwise, fish belong in the sea and not my mouth. Then, they changed their menu and simplified the offerings. Busted my plan to document what I liked and didn’t like. I had the dishes graded on my notes in my iPhone. Today, I had the iced coffee, spring roll, and the E5 Bun. See pic for description. I think that this place is stepping up its food game. Everything was great. Always good, now great. I thought I had reviewed this place back in the day. It must have been a different Unilocal account. I had suggested that they partition the restaurant from the pool hall. Lo and behold, they did. Makes a difference in a bunch of ways… no sketchy dudes looking at diners, closer space, better ambience. Since I am a semi-regular, the owners always drill me when I walk in with«Where you been?» Guess I am an irregular regular. Today, there was a great mix of ethnicities eating. I was the lone white boy. There were Asians, a Latino, and a table of Black ladies whose English sounded African-accented. It is always a good sign to eat where Asians eat. Food is treated with reverence and respect. I had heard a while back that the owners(see pics, wife/cook was shy and didn’t want to pose with husband or daughter so I snapped a pic of her on the sly) wanted to sell. I am so glad they didn’t. It would leave a hole in my heart if they did.

This is also called the Phở Billiards, aptly named because of the pool hall in the back room, while the Phở restuarant occupies the front space. Kind of felt like I was in the 20’s during prohibition, with a speak-easy in the back and the«legit» business out front. We are adventurous, so we gave it a shot, and glad that we did. We ended up not getting their Phở, but rather we had what they called a «hot pot», which seemed a lot like phở, but on a bigger scale. We also ordered a couple of other entrees(one was a bun, and I forget the other). Everything was very good and tasty. The food was a major 5* situation. The service was good, but a little slow at times(others have mentioned that, as well). And the ambiance is exactly what one would expect from a restaurant that has a pool hall in the back. We were there on a Friday evening, and there was plenty of drinking going on in the pool hall. Good people watching, but not sure that makes for a good dining experience. We’ll go back again, but maybe we’ll try a Sunday lunch instead of Friday evening. If you like good food, and not worry too much about ambiance, this could be a great place.

First off not good for kids, but that’s okay sometimes. Service was attentive but not really good(they don’t speak English good). Food was good though, especially if your in to Chinese soup. Very ethnic.

Just got takeout. Phở Ga is great — flavorful & use good white meat chicken. Also got the spring rolls(HA8?) — 3 large spring rolls in each order. Great flavor. Peanut sauce was a little watery, but add siracha and it is good. Overall very satisfied & will be ordering from here again. Also nice that they’re open Sundays.

Maybe I’m a little spoiled just coming back from tacoma, but I expected better. The noodles were not very tasty, but I thought the broth was ok. The place is cleaner than before. I think the billiards should be a separate business, and they should staff someone in the restaurant. It’s a little odd to go next door to the bollards room to flag someone down. I saw several people sitting around for a fair bit of time before being met by the waitress. I think this place is a step below rice and noodle, my current favorite, and tied with noodle King.

This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the Lancaster area. It’s also probably the cheapest. I get the same thing every time: the bbq pork and vermicelli noodle bowl. I’ve ordered this dish at every single Vietnamese restaurant in the area and phở billiard’s is the best. The pork is delicious, everything is fresh, and they give you a lot of herbs and greens which is why I like it the most. Give this place a chance! Sure it’s a bit unorthodox but it’s simply the best.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was ok, Phở was as good as can be expected for the price. The second time I tried to order at the counter but the only person there was a cook, sleeping on the floor, with the tv blaring and a bowl of ramen in their hands. That was around 6pm… it was surreal.

I flew in from LA for a conference. Saw it on the street driving into town. Wonderful clean meal. Tasty phở. Nice staff.

GREAT Phở!!! We started with the Spring Roll appetizer with peanut dipping sauce, ingredients were fresh, crunchy & delicious. Got an Iced coffee to drink, it was pretty strong but really good. Then came the great bowls of Phở, they give you a plate of extras to throw in if you’d like; fresh basil, lime, bean sprouts, & sliced fresh jalapenos. I added a little of each & each thing added to the complex flavor. The bowls are pretty big, I took what I couldn’t finish home & it reheated well. Will definitely go back.

First time here and OMG! I what a great place, some of the regulars helped me decide what to try. I started with spring rolls, three and peanut dipping sauce. Then I ordered N4, ufon noodles with crab and shrimp soup. I’ll be back!

I always love me a good bowl of phở. I suddenly had a craving for it so I found the nearest spot in Lancaster that had it which brings me to this place. It’s a bit weird cause it’s a phở and billiards place. When I walked in the whole place was empty. A girl came out after a few mins and seated me. The menu doesn’t have huge variety but enough for you to choose from. I had the phở tai, which was okay, they had very little beef and the noodles were all stuck together instead of being spread out. In addition to my phở I had a hot jasmine tea which tasted incredibly funky. What annoyed me was the waitress giving me the check before I even finished my food. It’s like she was hurrying for me to leave and the place wasn’t even packed… Overall this place is eh. A bit overpriced since I had cheaper phở in New York, San Francisco and Chicago.

Really awesome phở. It is the best phở I’ve had around Lancaster /for a long time. The flavor in the soup is spot on. Fairly cheap for the portions and the Vietnamese owners are super friendly. At first I thought the place was sketchy but definitely glad I gave it a try! I ate here all the time when I was studying at F&M. MISSTHISPLACE!

It has delicious authentic Vietnamese food. This restaurant can compete with the Vietnamese restaurants in SF and NYC. It is that good. Highly recommend the Bun Rieu… so delicious…

The BEST phở around hands down! The vegetarian phở is so good with so much flavor. My friends and I come at least once a week. Staff can be slow at times but always extremely friendly. Friends have gotten other meat items on the menu too and really enjoyed them. It’s also BYOB here as well which is always nice.

My husband and I tried the place after seeing it Downtown. The atmosphere is very low key and the«restaurant» is a closed door away from the billiards side. People kept going in and out of there, which was a little funny. However, the noodles were very good. I ordered the vegetarian bowl and had plenty for leftovers. The hot tea is free, but others are available for a small fee. Not very much English is spoken by the employees, but they provided great, fast service. Will definitely go back!

Have been there twice and the experience is fair enough… Phở tastes just like other Viet food places and I am not expecting more, but the hot pot is so pricy for its content
