Place seemed cute and had a nice menu so I was excited about trying it out. Took WAY longer than expected to get our sandwiches. Worst of all, I asked for no cheese on my sandwich because I’m severely lactose intolerant, and when I got back to work and opened the sandwich, it was coated with cheese on top AND underneath the meat. The cheese underneath seemed to have glued itself to the bread. I ended up only being able to eat the meatballs, having scraped the cheese(and therefore sauce) off. I don’t think it’s that uncommon to ask for no cheese on a sandwich, and as a place that seems so into selling gluten free food, they should have been MUCH more aware of dietary restrictions.

I have only had the breakfast sandwiches so far, but they are pretty damn good! Chorizo sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant? Yes. Very friendly staff. A great neighborhood place for good coffee and a quick bite.

Ralph’s is our go-to lunch spot. We’ve been regulars since moving to Lancaster 2 years ago. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is so fresh and unique. Our all time favorite«side» is the whole wheat pasta salad with olives, goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and arugula. Soooo good. The sandwiches are so big you can easily split… the soups are better than grandma’s…and we often take the pizza home for quick dinners. Oh… the quiche… heaven! There are also great desserts and unique take-away items such as fig spreads, interesting mustards, etc! I cannot sing the praises highly enough! Wish Lancaster had more restaurants the quality of Ralph’s!

I’ve never had less than great food here. The sandwiches, soup, quiche, pastas… it’s all great. Do yourself a favor and go there.

We returned and were just as satisfied as we were our first visit! Kudos to Ralph’s. My man had the Hot Pastrami this time and I had the New York Deli. OMG! I’d have one every day if I had unlimited funds for a new wardrobe! MacArthur said it when he left the Philippines, and I said it when I left Ralphs. .. .“I WILLRETURN!”

Ralph catered a dinner I hosted for 25 people, and the food was astounding. Definitely recommend the ratatouille, penne pasta and pork barbeque. But the best part was the extra time Ralph and Vanessa took with me to make sure the dinner was a success. Our event was special to us, and they made me feel it was special to them. Everything went off without a hitch, mostly because I chose Ralph’s Gourmet Take-away.

tried ralph’s for the first time last night and got a chance to talk to ralph when i ordered my take away food. he said i would love everything and he was definitely right! ordered his classic meatballs, fried eggplant, the special of the day margherita pizza, and baked penne pasta and a slice of manchego cheese. the meatballs were literally the best meatballs i’ve ever had. the combo of pork, beef and veal meant meatballs that were flavorful and so soft. the sauce they were in was just spot on. i also used that sauce to dip my extra thin and crispy pizza crust into and also put it on the fried eggplant. i got every drop of sauce out of that container and a tear or two may have been shed when there was no more lol. the margherita pizza was thin and crispy. the crust almost had a crackery consistency — similar to the local made rip rap crackers. it also had a great flavor. no single ingredient i can pinpoint other than craftsmanship! all of the foods in the case looked amazing and next time i have my eye on the lobster mac and cheese and meatball sub. what a gem! will definitely be back soon.

My daughter has been raving about Ralph’s since she moved to Lancaster recently. A few weeks ago we visited Ralph’s to get some take out sandwiches. It was St Patty’s day weekend. I got a ham and cabbage sandwich with melted cheese and mustard. Excellent!!! This place is definitely worth a visit!

Nice to see Ralph back in the Lancaster food scene. Kind of hidden away location but well worth the visit. Oriented toward take-out but with reasonable sit-down area. Attention to detail is welcome and the food has been great on each of my several visits. The Cubana is a great sandwich. The Caprese Panini, the Black Russian, the West End Cobb have all been great choices for lunch or on a lazy dont-want-to cook evening. The Grilled Chicken Pizza is a great blend of flavors. There are many prepared foods to take home and heat or are ready to eat. The Penne and Pepperoni salad is luscious. I haven’t had any luck trying to order the putanesca salad, as they were lacking ingredients on the two or three times I tried to order it. I must admit the Grilled Caesar pizza is not for me. And I regret that the hours cannot be extended till 6 or 7 on Saturday, as that would be the time I would most likely become a devoted regular. Bottom line — a great resource for Lancaster, especially for foodies. Eat in or take out lunch and great options for take home suppers. If I could have got my chompers into the putanesca it would probably be 5 stars.
