This is the first time in about 5 years, in which I had to clean my clothes at a coin laundry. In LA it’s a chore and the people who usually work at them out there are not big on verbal communication. It’s stress that I don’t really look forward too. I have been washing my clothes since moving here at my friends’ house but I needed to just deal with it. So I turned to Unilocal to tell me where to go. After reading reviews, I decided to go to the Sandy’s coin wash, then I noticed that was WAY too far. So even though the previous reviewer had her issues with the nighttime guy and left with a wet blanket, I figured«if its bad, I will talk about it here» I have to say I am really glad I tried this one out. It’s super close to where I live, and the place isn’t dirty with homeless people coming up to you while doing laundry to ask for change.(The one time they can find me with change, I still cant spare it dude, I understand you are an out of work vet. I love animals too, but I cant just give to all the out of work veterinarians, or I will also be broke.) The guy that works at night(which I confirmed with him is the scary man that made the girl go home with a moist blanket) is pretty damn cool. He walked me through the getting of the card for laundry(which they will buy back from you according to the sign if you are very upset over the $ 2.00, which i have to admit I was at first., but they get points for being able to use a debit card to add money to that card,) I put 10 bucks on and used the machines in front that say they take five loads and I filled it to capacity. I also didn’t really pay attention to how the door should be shut and then caused it to end my wash cycle after 20 sec of nothing. The guy that worked there let me reload another machine and didn’t charge me a second time. Since it was partly me to blame here I will not be fussy over the loss of detergent(this was the worst of the whole experience). There were a gaggle of children running around and my mood to deal with screams of happy youth was not the soundtrack I felt like hearing, so I went home. I came back 30 min later, just as the dude working there(probably should asked a name, my bad) was about to lock the door(8:30 no new people can enter with, say a large blanket that wont have enough time to dry before the place closes) He recommend running the dryer 5 cycles of 8 min.(each cycle is 25 cents so not sure what all the freak out on the dryers short spin time, if you load up the cycles at the beginning you can just come back in 49 min to dry clothes.) I loaded the dryer and went home again, came back in another 30 min and my clothes were dry and I am now going to fold them as I watch TV. So the cost was about $ 10 for an amount of clothes that filled a 5 load machine(5 loads of laundry sounds so much bigger than that, but I guess that is 5 loads,) I cannot comment at all on how they are with the drop off laundry service. It was closed when I was there and I don’t currently have money to spend on that. My only negative things I can say are the 25 cent restroom use, which I understand to keep the homeless from treating it like a day spa, but still. I’m sure that there could be a way to just show you are a customer by sliding your card into the slot and not charging, Free WiFi access would also be nice but it’s not necessary if you are a Time Warner customer because their WiFi signal comes in just fine. If you are not with TWC, you don’t get to connect to them, but you also don’t ever have to deal with TWC as a company, so that is a plus. Hey wet blanket chick, I am just teasing, I am sure it was a very trying experience. I totally recommend this laundromat.

I love the fact that they have a 4 – 8 load washers so I can wash in bulk. I’ve been here a few times and never had an issue. Last time I come here… the guy working was extremely rude to me. I was waiting for the last of my clothes to dry and he kept coming over telling me he was closing. What am I supposed to do? Leave with damp clothes? Well that’s what I ended up doing because he was so rude!!!

Having to wash a dog bed that wouldn’t fit in our washer, we found this place nestled in a strip mall. The facilies were clean and the machines easy to use. The only down side was that we had to buy a card and load money on to it for a one time use.
