It was one of those gloomy rainy Sundays. Boyfriend, sister and I came here and got a flight of beers to taste and played this fun game that they had lying around. This place is neat. We couldn’t find it at first. Once we stepped inside, I thought it was the coolest little place ever. I love the atmosphere here. Will be back!

This place is like a whole in the wall. The décor is awesome but the customer service on the beer side is awful!!! The bartender barely even said hello and was absolutely no help when deciding what flavor of beer to try. Way to sell your service.

I was delighted to find this hidden gem almost by accident. Andrew Martin, owner, provided a great tour and our party thoroughly enjoyed the tastings, then moved into the bar area for drinks and food. Low-key, very good drinks, food, and a great environment. I think we found a new favorite place to go. Thank you!

Went there the afternoon of Superbowl Sunday. The bartender was friendly and knew quite a bit about the distillery’s history. Will be back there the next time I’m in Lancaster. Try the pepper whiskey, it had a hint of spicy without overwhelming the whiskey.

We stopped by the distillery during our visit to Lancaster. There wasn’t much in the way of tourist activities, so this was a really good find. The venue is in an old warehouse with a lot of character. The liquor was tasty and we ordered a pork mac and cheese sammy from the brewery bar that shares the venue with the distillery. I also really enjoyed the bartender/host who was pretty badass and an awesome human to chat with. If I’m ever in the Lancaster area, I would stop by for a drink or some rye/gin/vodka to take home.

Great whiskey and fabulous service! Had an amazing conversation about history of whiskey, distilleries, recipes and processes! I had their black pepper whiskey cocktail with syrup, lemon juice and a bunch of other things that Jordan added — it was delicious and so smooth!

Great little neighborhood place in a cool old building. The«off the beaten path» feel makes you you feel like you are part of authentic Lancaster history. The staff is amazing and always friendly. It seems like they are constantly producing new spirits and variants such as the black pepper rye. Rarely do I go in and find there isn’t a new drink to try.

Great«back alley» spot to hang out and enjoy some drinks and good company. The bartender knows his stuff.

If you’re looking to see what Lancaster is really like, you need to swing by Thistle Finch. Located in an 1800’s warehouse, Thistle finch is tucked away in a small alley on the West side of town. Amongst the whir of production you’ll find a great assortment of regulars and first timers enjoying the libations of the first Whiskey Distillery in Lancaster County since prohibition. If your interested in craft spirits, then you must check out this place. Just in case you thought the only thing we make in Lancaster are quilts… Try some of Thistle Finch’s Gin, it’ll blow your mind.

Thistle Finch Distillery offers free tours on Saturdays at 3 and 4. They run about half hour and you get samples of their spirits after the tour. I got a chance to try the white rye whiskey, coffee rye, pepper rye, gin, and vodka. They all have this very yeasty taste to it so if you’re not a fan of that, you probably won’t like it. The most interesting ones were definitely the coffee and the pepper. The coffee has a subtle taste to it. The pepper, you can’t really taste the spiciness while drinking it but it will hit you afterwards. My boyfriend and I headed over to their bar afterwards to try some of their concoctions. I would definitely recommend the Martin Mule, which is their variation of a Moscow Mule. One thing I would recommend Thistle Finch improve on is their paying system at the bar. Each time you order a drink, you have to get up, and walk over to their iPad(which is connected to a security stand) in order to pay.

Love this place! Can’t get enough of the gin jade cocktail, but I will try anything the bartenders come up with. Perfect for larger groups who are looking to hang out and enjoy some drinks.

I love the atmosphere, and the drinks are superb. While it may be a little hard to find, it’s definitely worth finding and checking it out. The outside appearance is deceiving, and looks just like an old brick warehouse, but the inside is very cool. The service is very friendly. Come out and support local businesses! I will certainly be back.

What a cool little place! Very hidden, we had a hard time finding it(thanks google) ;) The place was a tad warm. It was a REALLY hot day, we had just walked a mile to get here, and there was no AC. It’s cool because they have the distillery as well as the brewery so you can order drinks from each. We had some very unique cocktails from the distillery. It was a Red Vodka with Tea. VERY refreshing! If you’re looking for a unique spot for a drink, go for it. Very cool vibe.

Great place with excellent cocktails! They have a unique variety of whisky. I got a cranberry vodka drink in the winter and it was there best ever. Tasted like Christmas and love in a glass. Hard to find, but I like that it’s off the beaten path. Staff was so friendly and nice.

We were in Lancaster walking around visiting places and stumbled upon this place. I would say though if I was actually looking and trying to find Thistle Finch I almost certainly would have had a hard time. Once we walked in and took a seat we were greeted by the Bartender and also by the other Bartender she was training. The staff was very friendly and answered all of the question we had. Once we ordered our drinks and tried them out we were quite happy! I am a big fan of gin and they had a really great selection of drinks using it. All of the cocktails tasted great and were exactly as I expected. Overall I did not have any real complaints but nothing about the place caught me as amazing.

This place was terrible. We visited this on the Mason Dixon Wine Trail. They ignored us for the paying customers who were buying cocktails. We entered the building without even being greeted. If I was a company on a taste testing tour I would make those entering feel just as important. Hard to find and parking is terrible also. Maybe they will get better but if you are going to participate in a 10 year on going event then you need to have better respect.

Great place to visit! They have a wonderful mixed drink selection made only with their delicious thistle finch rye whiskey. Friendly bar tender and really cool vibe. Grab yourself a great cup of coffee from square one while you are there! Support Lancaster and one of its first distilleries!
