It weird, when you think about it, there’s little more magical that any retailer could hope to be than to be a seller of toys for children(and adults). It’s like selling candy, right? You’re selling the tools of happiness and it takes a truly special big box retailer to transform children toy sales into a soulless, mind-numbing experience, tedious experience. Welcome to ToyRUs. You can’t even say, anymore, that they everything. They don’t. Not by a long shot. You can’t say their prices are great. They’re not, not even close. The merchandising makes Marshall’s and TJMaxx look trendy and cool. I’m sorry, Toys R’Us exists for what reason again? This is the palace of desperation. I spent more than an hour walking the aisles and looking at toys and just sort of trying to get a good feel for the store. And, I had money burning in my pocket. I wanted to buy some gifts, something fun, something frivolous, for my kid and my wife, maybe something for all of us. But in the end, I left empty handed because the only thing that really struck me a I sauntered through Toys R’Us is, well, how Soviet it feels. How unhappy most of the shoppers were(let’s not even talk about the poor staff). Seriously, you can get better prices and selection online. You don’t have swim the florescently illuminated aisles hoping to find some inspiration where there is clearly none to be had. From now on, I’m not bending to temptation to see what impulse purchase might be had there. I know better. This is my warning to you. Save yourself the trouble.

Its Toys R Us. It has everything Target and every other store has — but larger quantities. I try to avoid this place and shop for more interesting places to buy more original things for my dudes, but once a year I come for Xmas.

TOYS! — — — - Im looking for a particular board game thats popular all over the world but apparently not here. The toys r us online has it, but not the store, go figure. So this store has all sorts of things for you and your kids. but mostly your kids. They have quite a few less board games than they used to when I was a kid, but they still have a couple aisles full as well as bikes, outdoor stuff and video games for kids of all ages including adults. They even have a couple fo those goofy sex board games for adults. ;-)
