I just love this place and the idea that in the«town» of Van Wyck is a full service post office. Gives you an idea as to why the USPS is so far from breaking even, let alone making profit. Van Wyck used to be a brick making area, but now is just an intersection with the post office and a general store that also sells fire arms and ammunition. OK…but to those of us who live in the nearby communities, this post office is a great convenience, as the main post offices are miles away in Ft. Mill and in Rock Hill. Small but functional and a real trip to use it.
