As someone mentioned before… lovely apartments, horrible management and service. Issues like a broken garage door for weeks on end inviting criminal activity, leaking pipes right near a front door in sub zero temperatures leaving an icy path with no repair, fire alarms all night long for several days in a row are just a few of the issues I’ve encountered during my stay here. Over the last few years I have seen the service and amenities go down hill, while my rent is exponentially going up. We no longer have the leasing office sign for our packages which was actually a nice amenity to have, yet I’ve seen NO improvement with the«extra time» they now have on their hands. Now packages are being taken right off of peoples doorsteps and broken locks and propped-open doors make it super easy for thieves to do so. There used to be a cleaning service that would maintain the halls, stairwells and garage… now we have to complain or put in maintenance tickets just to have the basics done. On my way out, I encounter empty blunt wrappers, empty liquor bottles filled with urine and cars sitting on blocks because their tires were stolen!!! I am so disappointed in how this property is maintained when it could be such a nice place.

I am upping my rating due to the community making some major improvements in the past month. They have started painting Phase I and it looks amazing. What I stated in the previous review about the noise still holds true. Even though we have quiet hours, some neighbors DONOT abide by them. Even though I am changing homes, I am keeping staying with a Camden community :)

I debated back and forth whether this would be a 3 or a 4 so this is more of a 3.5 star review. I lived in Camden from October 2013 to February 2015. And all in all, I Loved my place. What I Liked: –My apartment was beautiful(Lombardi). It had a roommate style layout with the rooms on two different sides of the house with their own bathrooms. It came with a fireplace, new carpet, new paint, and all black appliances. –Accessibility. The metro is right next door and there’s lots of restaurants, shops, etc. right near by. I’m no more than 15 minutes from everything! –Full sized washer and dryer IN the apartment. I don’t do laundromats. Sorry. –Online rent payments and maintenance request –Friendly service from front desk What I Didn’t Like: –The carpet in the dining room is weird. But they do have hardwood floorplans it just costs a little extra. –The garage was hands down the worst part about living here. It’s oddly shaped, can be hard to maneuver even though people speed through it, people park over the lines, and the doors break A LOT! –The trash rooms and overloaded dumpster on the first floor. And the occasional pest problems were the worst part of living here. I lived here a whole year before I saw anything at all. But bc of the constant moving in and moving out of others, after the year I would see a roach every now and again. Maintenance would come and spray but there didn’t seem to be any more permanent pest solutions forthcoming. And I don’t think there should be roaches if I am paying $ 1500+ to live somewhere. What is just Okay: –Everythings electric –The gym is very convenient but a lot of things don’t work well or work at all in there –The noise level. I hear my neighbors sometimes so it’s definitely not soundproof. But my neighbors aren’t super annoying either. –The fob system/garage system can get annoying bc no one can ever just come to your door. However, I’m sure there are some valid safety reasons for that. –The price. It’s a good deal for nice living arrangements and amenities. However, the included cable irks me. I don’t even watch tv and I’m forced to pay for cable. Also, you have to pay a water bill. There’s some more fees included on the water bill that weren’t explained to us clearly at first also. A lot of other apartments don’t make you pay water at all tho. But at the same time, I had no security deposit! Which was a plus for moving in. — The community. Most folk are nice. It seems to be mostly young professionals. Not too many children. The leasing office tries to promote community with town hall meetings and free events. But then there are some folk who litter and smoke weed in the stairwells. And some tenants don’t do a good job cleaning up after their pets also. Like any where else there’s the good, bad, and ugly. But based on what you need, you have to choose what’s right for you. It works for me. But check it out for yourself!
