Ok. It’s a Subway, right? We all know it’s a hit or miss proposition. And it really comes down to how much you guide the«Sandwich Artist»(SA) through his or her job. And, all over the world, sometimes you get a good SA with the inherent talents of a master craftsman and then sometimes you get an under-achieving druggie dropout SA that should have never graduated from McDonalds. The Landrum, SC /Hwy 14 Subway is typically not too bad when you provide good instructions. They are usually semi-fast and semi-friendly. Veggies are always fresh and the drinks cold. But, if you’re feelin’ lucky then order your sandwich without any of those additional comments like«ummmm, could you please put some tuna fish on my tuna sandwich». Probably the best part about this location is their drive-thru. It’s not fast-food-fast but it makes it a good alternative to greasy fast food if you are in a hurry or have a car full of kids or are too lazy to get out the car. And, perhaps the best reason to hit this Subway if you are at this exit(the last exit in SC on I-26) is that the only other fastish food at this exit is an unbelievably slow and poorly managed Burger King or a Bojangles… the biscuit and fried food mecca in the area. The Bojangles isn’t too bad but I’m waiting and hoping for Unilocal to offer a zero star option before I do the BK review :-)
