Spent a wonderful Sunday lunch here yesterday. The environment is really interesting. The front porch has tie dye tapestries hanging and hippie like flags. The inside is what you would expect grandmas house to look like if she lived in the traditional South. The place was packed but we were able to get a seat within minutes.
The menu is buffet only. The price includes the buffet, a drink and a dessert. The fried chicken was out of this world. The yams and biscuits were also some of my favorites. The Mac and cheese was to die for. They also had fried okra, salad, and a casserole among other things. Every item I tried was delicious, perfect comfort food. They had two dessert options, both which has raisins. I mentioned I didn’t like raisins and they were more than happy to give a piece of strawberry cake they had.
Price was perfect for what you get. Service was super hospitable and accommodating, pushing this place above and beyond. Check it out if you’re driving through!!!

Great home cooked food. Always fresh consistent and delicious. Desserts and fried chicken mmmmm. Love their sides too. Try to eat here every week. Not fancy but really good stuff.

Ate lunch for the first time yesterday. The place looks very inviting from the outside but going inside not so much. We were put in a small dimly lit room with several other people who were already eating. The noise level was quite high from their conversations. There was a five light light fixture that only had two of the lights burning. I guess they’re waiting for all of them to burn out before they decide to replace any of the bulbs? The buffet was quite small but the food was fairly tasty however not very hot. I very rarely put salt on my food but I found I had to salt just about everything that I had to give it some taste. Once we were seated and our original drinks brought to the table our waitress never came back and asked us if we needed anything even though my drink had gotten completely empty before we left. So we decided to leave and pay the bill but there was nobody at the register to pay so we had to wait for about five minutes. When the waitress finally came to the cash register she said oh are you leaving already and we said yes to that she said do you want dessert that we said no, we did not even know that you have dessert. The prices were not posted anywhere that I could see so when she rang it up I was a little surprised to see $ 32 for two people for such a mediocre lunch. Probably will not be going back.

This Is the most authentic home cooked meal I have eaten since 1972. The country fried steak was steak that is breaded, fried, covered in gravy, and simmered for hours. Okra that was fresh cut breaded and fried. Home grown tomatoes, not those gassed Junkers that you get in most places now days. Fresh biscuits. Fresh cut banana peppers. Brings back memories of my mothers and grandmothers cooking in the summer. If you are looking for a true home cooked meal this is the place for your family!!!
