Many menus items are listed in a gluten free menu. The GF lumberjack — pulled pork on a GF bun was piled high with slaw. The side of sweet potato chips was crispy and house made. My husband enjoyed the Mac & cheese & side salad since he doesn’t get pasta at home ;). The service was friendly & efficient. Craft beers and home-made root beer was a hit. Cute place!

First time in lanesboro. Cute little town. We came here thanks to Unilocal, naturally. This place is good, nothing over the top. I got a soup and salad, hubby got a burger. Both our meals were yummy. I would come back if I were in the area.

This is a café. A great little café. Decorated a bit kitschy with vintage and antique kitchen gadgets, and mismatched tablecloths, it’s downhome and adorable. The staff was excellent — friendly, even to our demanding(though kiss-blowing) baby. She loved the meatballs & fries! The fish tacos were the best both my husband and I have ever had, and my turkey sandwich was a nice toasted deli sandwich. I recommend the cabbage slaw! Bonus: local craft beer on tap.

Clean, family friendly, with great food– which is exactly what we were looking for! Our waitress was great, helpful and kind. It is a unique restaurant, we sat upstairs and it very«cozy.» We got there right at opening(unknowingly) and were able to sit immediately and our orders were taken promptly and food followed not too long after!

This place is just like most of Lanesboro itself, pretentious and overhyped. The thing with this café is that it is as average as you can get, yet the way the staff treat you you would think they were the most exquisite restaurant in the nation. The staff let us know in word and demeanor that they were very busy and that we should hurry up and order and avoid bothering them. Don’t even dare ask them to go out of their way or make even a small exception to the rules because they aren’t going to do it. The vibe I get is that we, the customer, are lucky to be allowed in their establishment rather than the other way around. You could get food just as good at a Perkins or other chain restaurant, and the service might not chill you to the bone like it does at this place. Who cares if they serve local food? It really is just a gimmick, and it is not a refreshing idea as some would have you think. The whole locally grown thing has been done so much now that it is passé. Skip this place and the whole town of Lanesboro if you want to avoid hipster hell.

Much better than you can reasonably expect to find in a small town in southeast Minnesota. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are well and thoughtfully prepared. Friendly service. Excellent beer selection. Great deserts. Fair prices. Nothing to complain about and nothing comparable within 40 miles. Just wish they were open for breakfast.

Stayed in Lanesboro two nights. Ate at Pedal Pushers twice and loved everything we had — especially the fish tacos. They are amazing — even for one of us who is not a fish eater. Can’t wait to come back and try the pot pie!

Very good breakfast and friendly fast service! Coffee was tasty as well. We had the turkey skillet special, a quiche special and an omelet. Highly recommended!

Took family and reviews are mixed. The burger was good, but the hot sandwiches were barely warm. The rhubarb pie was excellent, except for the piece of nutshell. Come to think of it, all of the desserts we tried had a piece of nutshell in them, even though they didn’t have any nuts in them. I think we’ll try some place else today.

In the pictures shown below are the following entrées. Norwegian Meatballs, Hot Pork and Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Pot Pie. All of the entrées were very good. On the side another item that was ordered was Chilli which was delicious. I had a salad with thousand island dressing which was soso. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5.

Came here once after a day of Kayaking with a group of friends. Friendly service, nice location and food was very good. Had the burger myself which was nice, although not the best I’ve ever had. A special mention to their fresh cut fries which were excellent. The general consensus from the table was that the food overall was excellent, including dessert. Highly recommend if in the area

Came here with the lads after an epic kayaking session. Was in peak or the rhubarb festival. Everybody was impressed and the service was unbelievable. Have to mention the fries, fresh cut and very well done. Hope to be back soon!

When riding the Root River Trail, I have frequented this lovely little café several times. I love their committment to serving local food. What a refreshing concept!!! I am so weary of restaurants that open a plastic bag of premade soup from a warehouse, microwave it, and call it homemade. The décor is fun and kicky. Be certain to stop in when you are in the area. It is a nice break from your bike ride in a picturesque little town.

It was pretty busy when we got there, but managed to get a table after a couple minutes. The front end, register area, wasn’t very streamlined. The line was getting long with people wanting to pay their bill and people wanting to get their name on the seating list, but having to wait because the cashier was helping 4 people that wanted ice cream cones. That part of the business could be tweaked a bit. Once we got seated, our server was very friendly and very attentive, even with all the bustling business. Food was good. Service was good. It was a great place to stop on our SEMN road trip. :-)

Owners Angie & Scott e-mailed me with their sincere apologies and a kind offer to send a gift certificate out; excellent customer service and professionalism. Thank you.

Locally sourced food that is delicious and filling. The décor is adorable — not many places can pull off a bike motif successfully. All of the food is delicious. I got the vegan loaded potato with a black bean burger — yum yum yum. My bf got the turkey avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was an eating competition to see who could eat more of the fries. There was no discernible winner. Then we ended the meal with apple crisp a la mode. It was perfection on a dish.
