Unfortunately the employees are not trained to be customer focused. Received a faulty product and wanted to exchange it for one that worked before a bridal shower. Went to multiple registers and waited around for 20 minutes just to say I wanted the other product that worked. There was no point of sale transaction needed, just someone with common sense. Almost as bad as K-mart employees…

Michael’s just next door provides a good one/two for your needs. I find Michael’s to have better prices but AC Moore has better coupons. Sign up for their email coupons!

AC Moore is dandy if you know exactly what you need, where it’s located and you have a coupon for 40−50% off said item from a circular or their website. But really, how often does it happen like that? It is surprisingly difficult to find things here at times — and even harder to find an employee who will make eye contact with you, let alone one that will lend you a hand in your quest towards craftiness. My last visit was the straw that broke the camel’s back after a series of craptacular visits to AC Moore. I had one item in my hand and it took me 15 minutes of hopping between 3 cashiers to get the heck out of the store. I would have stormed out with a fellow shopper who gave in to the urge to throw down her scrap-booking items and walk out. Probably right next door to Michael’s. Dueling craft stores right next to one another is almost hilariously sad. Because both of them kinda suck. Was also really annoyed that while the slower than dirt cashiers were… kind of working, both of them clearly dueling over the use of their 1 shared brain cell — that 2 other employees were up front talking and pulling them into their conversation. And one of them — looked like a manager. The third cashier slowpoke may have been due to customer issues, but – Next time, it’s straight to Jo Ann Fabrics… or eff this craft nonsense.

I like Michael’s a lot more for finding what you are looking for, variety, cleanliness and organization.

Conveniently located right next door to a Michael’s.(Bet someone at the leasing office got in big trouble for THAT!) Pros: Good supply of books and magazines. Lots of good stuff on clearance. Nice selection of yarns in the«Mill Ends» bin for projects on-the-cheap. Cons: Can’t find a store employee in there to save your life. Plus one star for having an e-mail list that sends you their coupons. Minus one star for consistently nasty(and sometimes overflowing) toilets in the ladies room.
