The chicken tender are ok. but I really love the fries. They are similar to Five-Guys’s fries! It’s because they cook them in peanut oil i think. I noticed restaurants that cook their food in peanut oil tend to bring in more customers. Chickfila is a prime example of this.

I wishI could give this place 0 stars. My friend and I came here after a movie(which was great so I hoped the food would be good too) and we got seated right away because it was mostly empty at 7: 45 pm. The menu is full of choices for salads, burgers, shakes, etc. After we ordered they brought our drinks. I ordered lemonade and it was disgusting. It had almost no sugar. Points off. Then our burgers and fries came. I ate less than half of a 5oz burger it was so dry. Points off. The only good part were the fries which were pretty good.

Really cool diner located right near sesame place. Staff was friendly and attentive I give them 4 star just for that. This diner is terrific if your coming with the kids. The coloring pages and crayons will keep them busy, all the while you wait for the food. Portions are very big and the variety of choices we’re great. I will compliment this establishment for the tasty burger, I’ve been to many upscale restaurants who don’t even know how to make a good burger. I certainly recommend coming here.

John and I are real softies for 50’s-style décor, even the manufactured look of Cheeburger Cheeburger. We’ve been here before, but not for some time, and headed in for a burger this afternoon after a busy morning out. It was useful to have a sliding scale of burger sizes to choose from, as well as a choice of cheeses and many toppings. Likewise, shakes and malts had practically unlimited flavor possibilities. We both figured that the«semi-serious» size burger was just right for us(7oz uncooked /one third pound after cooking), along with one order of fries that would serve two easily. John ordered his burger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion, and I ordered blue cheese and sun dried tomatoes on mine. Big plus: it was real blue cheese, not blue cheese dressing, and there was a generous amount of it. The burgers are advertised as 100% angus beef, too. We were asked how we would like our burgers cooked. My answer was rare and John’s was medium-rare. The waitress responded that the rarest they prepare them in the kitchen was«medium» — «would that be all right?» Well, I’m not sure how we were supposed to respond to that if it was not possible to order a rare burger, but she assured us that their medium was still pink inside.(When I order a rare or medium rare burger and am actually served one that matches that description, it is a pleasant surprise.) Indeed, our burgers were pink inside, but the burgers were also very dry and a bit tough. Pressed during cooking, perhaps?(Points off, here.) The fries were fresh-cut, including potato skin. However, when our order of them arrived at our table, they were over-fried, somewhat limp, and not very hot. There were a number of small, almost burned, fries in the serving. Had these been fresh out of the oil and not overcooked, they would have been much more appealing. John ordered a cherry shake(read«maraschino cherry»). The shakes are really thick and made to order with hand-dipped ice cream! To me, sampling a sip, the cherry tasted like a flavoring for children’s cough syrup, very sweet and like nothing found in nature. However, John liked the shake very much. John likes desserts and foods that are very sweet, and he is not bothered by artificial flavors, whereas I prefer mildly sweet desserts, dislike foods and sauces that are sweet, and find many, but not all, «artificial» flavors unpleasant-tasting. One nice point — they have two sizes of shake: full and half. In general, one definitely tastes quality ingredients in the food at Cheeburger Cheeburger, but there is room for improving the execution of the burgers and fries at this location. Hot fries and a juicier burger would have made this an easy four-star rating.

This review is not for the food. The food was actually pretty delicious. This review is for the pathetic excuse for customer service. Holy shit how awful. I placed an online order at 4:30pm and wrote my pickup time for 5:35pm. I go into the restaurant and ask for my order. The woman and the 14 year old girl behind the counter could give two shits that I’m standing in front of them. The woman says«I tell people to never order online, the orders don’t always come through». No apology, no eye contact. nothing at all. She goes to the window & asks the cook to make my order(which magically appeared by the way). Doesn’t give me an estimated time… still doesn’t apologize. then goes back to starring at her phone. It was awful. Unfortunately I won’t be returning due to the staff.

I wish I could give this three stars, because I like the concept. The variety of toppings that you can get with your burger and the shakes would make it high on my list of places to hit for lunch. We usually get a «best of both» basket with fries and onion rings, which comes with a variety of dipping sauces. Unfortunately, the service at this location is hit or miss, and most often miss. The burgers are good when you can get them done right.

We went here after spending the day at Sesame Place. The food was great, fries and onion rings were delicious and my burger was cooked perfect. Everyone in my push was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was.

Burger was pretty good. On the smaller side. So many toppings to chose from. The fries were really the best part of the meal. I recommend going at lunch. Under $ 8.00 for a burger, fries, and a soda. Waitress was great.

I placed a pick-up order last Friday night for(1) shake,(1) patty melt &(1) order of fries…$ 21 later!!! $ 21?! For one person?! First of all they gave me a «bucket-O-fries» & when I questioned the manager, Kim, the nasty staff told me that they only offered ONESIZE fries… Really?! When I told Kim that I intended to go home & call corporate & let them know how disrespectful & nasty her & her staff were, she didn’t really seem to care. Then it dawned on me, she’s probably an «Owner/Operator» as Cheeburger, Cheeburger is a franchise! That’s okay, Kim, I decided to hit all my «go to» social media sites & in the future my money will be better spent & more appreciated at the REDROBIN located directly ACROSS the street from your establishment! Their burgers are better anyway! Steer clear of this joint!

My first time at Chee & I loved my wrap! I got the veggie burger on my wrap and it was delicious. I also had the blueberry iced tea which was really delicious and some sweet potato fires. I loved the food and my boyfriend did as well. However, the service kinda sucked. We didn’t get our fries with our meal & had to ask for them, didn’t get the sauce with the fries and didn’t get our drinks refilled when the girl came over to ask us if we wanted a refill. I can’t even blame the workers because there was only two waitresses! When we walked in, there were at least 6 other tables and 3 of those tables had 5 or more guests. So like I said, I don’t blame the girls for the service. They’re understaffed. But very friendly and not rude which is a definite plus. We will be back! =)

I went here when this place initially opened and don’t remember having a bad experience so I decided to give it another try more than 10 years later. Boy, was that a mistake! My burger was disgusting. It was totally dried out, hard, and thick — it was like a beef chip reminiscent of doggy doo doo. The fries were not much better… very greasy and soggy. Granted, I was one of the last customers of the night, so they were probably trying to get me out quickly but still, that’s no excuse for the excuse of a burger I was served. 5 Guys has it all over Cheeburger. Never again!

I want to like this place so badly. I like burgers. I like cheesy 50’s inspired décor. I especially like soda and milkshakes. So why does this place fall flat? It started off bad when we received pretty spotty service. It wasn’t exactly our waitress’s fault since there were only two people serving the entire restaurant, but we waited forever just to put a drink order in. I glanced over the menu only to not really be interested in much on it. I was especially disheartened that they don’t offer fried eggs as a topping because that is my personal holy grail of good burgers. I don’t often have cheeseburgers, but when I do, I like to pack the protein on. I asked for my burger medium well. What I received was a well done burger. After I took a bite I asked my table mate if I had indeed ordered what I thought I did and they informed me I was not crazy. I ate the rest of it, but it really didn’t hit the spot for me. It was just an average burger, something I could’ve cooked at home even(except mine would be better, since it would include an egg on top and be medium well). There are some good things though. Their in house mixed sodas are tasty. The car cut out plate they use for kid’s meals is very cute. Their fries are good too. However, due to their lackluster food and poor service I can’t rate them that highly.

I had one of the most phenomenal veggoe burgers of my life here. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We got the loaded fries as a starter and they were wonderful too. All of the service staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon!

Gave this place a 2nd chance and was equally disappointed this time around… service is pathetic. I ordered three toppings on my burger — it came to the table with ZERO toppings. They couldnt even get a simple order right. Definitely not returning to this location ever again! Thank goodness there is another one in NJ that is much much much better!

After a long arduous haul from NYC to Langhorne, and a weary but fun-filled afternoon with my family at Sesame Place, there was nothing better for dinner than feasting on one of many fast food chains that are only readily available in PA. Parking was not to hard to find and my family and I entered the restaurant. For starters, already frustrated from the stressful day I was having, the hostess made us wait a very, VERY long time to get seated. Keep in mind that it was a Wednesday night, in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. They might have been short-staffed, so I let it slide. The hostess was very rude and didn’t even look like she cared about being there. Despite her disgusting attitude, I still waited because we were all starving. My blood pressure shot through the roof when two parties that entered WAY after us, were immediately seated. Not only were they given priority seating but shortly after we were dragged to our table, their order was also placed before us as well. I don’t know if it was because we were the only minority family present in the restaurant but the staff here was simple despicable. We waited over 20 minutes and not even water was brought to the table. At this point, I couldn’t even bear to stay here any longer even though my entire family was practically starving, I took my belongings, gathered everyone and left. Not a word was uttered, and no one asked why we were even leaving. They didn’t even seem to care and quite frankly, I really didn’t either. Having been in the customer service industry for over 15 years, it’s shameful at the ignorance which my family and I were subjected to at Cheeburger, Cheeburger. Forget about me but I felt even more sorry for the kids, which after a long day at Sesame Place, were so hungry and just wanted something to eat. Stopping here to have dinner, WORSTDECISIONEVER, especially if you’re of colored skin. It was truly a shame to have this experience in this day and age and I’ll probably NEVER enter anyone of their chains again for fear of receiving the same treatment.

This Cheeburger Cheeburger franchise is right across the street from Red Robin, so there is a natural choice to make when making a burger run. If you want a beer with that, than RR is your only option. If great shakes are a priority, Chee Chee is the better way to go. Here, the ambiance is all ersatz 1950’s diner-esqueness. Very similar to Nifty Fifty, Johnnie Rocket’s, Jake’s Wayback, and the like. I forgive them the weak attempt at historical orientation, as the actual product is pretty good. The burgers and fries are fresh, not frozen at the start, and the end result is a decent(not great) burger experience. Compared to 5 Guys, it falls a little short in the taste department(not enough tasty grease), but it compensates with more menu variety(chicken, salads), and additional treats to put on the burger(banana chilies, shrooms, pickles, etc.). The shakes are very good, and they will add malt powder for no additional charge if asked. Really, creamy and tasty. Bottom line — Worth the trip and money when you want a good nostalgia burger.

Will add this place to my ‘go to occasionally’ for lunch list. Not bad at all. Burger meat was very good, so many toppings to choose from and the onion rings were to my liking. Competition in the area will lose some business now as I make this part of my routine casual dining outings. Friendly staff and good service.

I haven’t been to this location since 2006, but I don’t know how much it’s improved since then. I used to come here for lunch after doing my thing over at John Casablancas next door. Cheeburger Cheeburger is a cute place. The retro theme and the décor is fun. The possibility of having your picture taken with a stuffed cheeseburger as a reward for consuming a massive amount of meat… pretty neat, if you ask me. Nothing’s made to order, but I(of no income at the time) would order something like, a small salad and onion rings. I would have to wait 10 – 20 minutes to get my food. The wait time was always long for my food. HOWEVER. The food is quite satisfying and I love the milkshakes. I only had maybe 2 flavors and I played it safe, but I kind of really love the feel of ordering a milkshake while my friends shared a malt at a place with this retro feel, you know? I had a veggie burger here and it was pretty tasty. I can’t say whether the other burgers are good just because I don’t really eat hamburger anymore. To sum up, it’s a fun place with super friendly wait staff, but the wait gets long for food that isn’t flying me to the moon.

Goofiest name I’ve ever heard of for a burger haven, but wow do they do the business! Then again Five Guys and In and Out aren’t the most brilliant names for hamburger happiness either. Five Guys, In and Out sounds like an orgy about to happen. I did not say that! But where does Cheeburger fit in, well I’m about to tell you… Unlike Five Guys, it’s not all about the burger because you can get chicken sandwiches here either grilled or fried and like the burger they have a zillion ways to top it. You can also get a list of great salads to serve as your meal and they offer a turkey burger. They do have the grilled cheese like Five Guys has, but they do not have the hot dog. Five Guys offers all of it’s toppings free except for cheese and bacon, Cheeburger charges for quite a few toppings like sauteed onions, mushrooms, dipping sauces, cheese and bacon. Free peanuts at Five Guys, but Cheeburger has milk shakes and malts galore and sodas mixed table side, they also have numerous flavored iced teas and lemonades. Come to think of it, it is like walking into an old fashioned soda fountain with the metal tables and chairs. The posters on the wall and the linoleum floor tiles are reminiscent to the 50’s style as well. Cheeburger’s also offers healthier selections like CheeWraps, veggie burgers or portabella salads or sandwiches. I love that Cheeburger offers a patty melt, which I adore and they make their own rye bread to do this. Now their sandwich is served on two huge slices of round rye bread. I see you picturing it, double the size of those slices of bread! This is like getting two patty melts, no seeds and it would take the biggest of eaters to finish it, especially when ordering fries or onion rings along side it. They have a variety of hamburger patty sizes, all fresh ground black Angus, from a 20 ounce burger to a 5.5 ounce burger and several in between. Hubby had two burgers and I am not even sure what size he chose, but my eyes said wow, you ordered two burgers when they arrived and he said yep. He ate them both and he loved them. The house cut fresh fries are awesome, actually crisp for a fresh cut fry and perfectly salted, but their onion rings are the bomb, tempura fried and crunchy! They offer a variety of dipping sauces like cheddar cheese, creamy jalapeño, zesty horseradish, sweet pepper and vegetable but you do pay for these, if you love them enough they also sell them by the bottle to take home. If you are torn between the fries and the onion rings you can order a basket which has both. So build your own salad, burger or wrap, it’s a smart concept, but still a goofy name. More to offer than Five Guys and it is attended with servers, unlike Five Guys. Bottom line for hubby, he likes Cheeburger more, bottom line for me Five Guys is still the winner. There is something to say for juicy greasy burgers dripping down your arms. All sandwiches are served with a speared olive, don’t tease me like that, then I want a dirty martini and no booze is served here. 3.5 stars.
