I found this place on Unilocal looking for breakfast when I was in town. I usually like the small local breakfast joints because the food is generally pretty good(and Unilocal usually doesn’t let me down). In this case, I was a bit disappointed. I should note that I’m a tough critic after living in Manhattan for a few years and getting a bit spoiled by awesome foods. I usually judge a diner by how good their breakfasts are(especially pancakes). The pancakes I ordered here were tough to cut through, heavy and they felt like a brick in my stomach. I ordered a short stack(3 pancakes) and could only eat one. I asked them afterwards if they mixed their own batter and I was told ‘no’. That explains it… god knows what ended up in my stomach that morning. The sausage I had was too salty and the eggs were average. Perhaps if I ordered something else, like an omelette… or something for lunch. I may have had a better experience. The service was great however and they made their customers feel at home(which is obviously important but I’ll generally take good food over good service).

I wish there was a 6th star! I’ve lived in this area for quite a while, and passed this place countless times, but recently, a co-worker told me they served the best cup of coffee he ever had… well, with a review like that, I couldn’t resist. Went this morning with my wife and son. My co-worker wasn’t exaggerating. They served the BEST cuppa I’ve had in a long, long time! Excellent flavor but no bitterness at all… tried it black and with cream and sugar — super either way. The breakfast food was perfectly prepared, hot and delicious. And the prices are more than reasonable! What can I say, folks?!? GO! You will NOT be sorry!

Everything about this place is fun. Good classic breakfast diner. Excellent coffee, of course. Friendly staff & customers. My cousin had the SOS(S*** on a Shingle made with creamed, chipped beef). He loved it. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen SCRAPPLE on a menu. We shall return!

One morning we headed out for breakfast at a small shop next door to a thrift shop and you can instantly tell that this will pan out to be a very cute Sunday. The Café is set up in a very odd shaped building, starting off with a bar and a few tables that open up into the cup room that seems like an evil step sister trying to fit in. The place is definitely has plastic blue table cloths that are actually a bit off putting, but don’t let that stop you from coming in. There was only one server who was vibrant with energy and great tattooes, she came over to fill our mugs with boiling coffee as we scanned the menu. The menu is not filled with glitz or glamour, you won’t find a pumpkin pancake or cajun potatoes, but that’s not what it’s about here. The place is about good and simple. You could tell by the crowd of people that they were all regulars and comfortable in the setting, reading the paper, talking to the cook and more importantly enjoying their breakfast. The hubby and I decided to split a Western Omelette and a short stack of pancakes. The pancakes wer thick and a great size, but sadly left not much to be remembered. Which is the COMPLETE opposite of the omelette which was delicious from the first bite of oozing cheese. It came thick and stacked with ham, peppers and onions. The home fries were nicely toasted, semi seasoned and a perfect side for my eggs. Overall for the big sized portions and budget friendly prices, this is a nice alternative to other breakfast joints. For me, I’m a bit greedy and love good ambiance AND good food, so it left a lot to be loved on the location, so more like a 3.5.

This place is amazing! Upon walking in we were greeted by a waitress who let us know to sit anywhere. At first, the place seems a little crammed but after sitting down in the«sports» room I noticed another room where there was much more seating. As the waitress came around to take our order she made us feel right at home. The items we ordered came out with in a short period of time, just enough to were I finished my first cup of coffee and was ready for a refill. It’s been a while since I’ve had scrapple but the reviews I read said they have the best, and it really is! The place appears to get busy from the locals and is very affordable. As previously mentioned this is cash only! I mentioned to the waitress that I found the location on Unilocal. She was thrilled that I said that and even gave me 10% off our bill. We will certainly be back again being that we live here in Langhorne. Thanks Unilocal

We stooped by this little mom and pop spot today before we left Pa. It had great reviews and they deserve every one of them. The service was excellent, the waitress even had my 2yr olds pancakes made to look like mickey mouse, and the food was good. The menu boast that thier family has been serving your family for 20 years and I’m sure they will continue to do it for 20 more.

We came here for breakfast based on the other Unilocal reviews and we are glad we did. We had scrapple and sausage with eggs and home fries. Everything was excellent and the portions were big. We will definitely return.

Its like eating at home while going out. The CCC delivers very fresh tasting breakfast with a cozy small town flare. The thing I like best is that they arent afraid to make it the way i like it. Bacon crispy? Pork roll well done? No problem at all! Moved to the area about 2 months ago and pretty sure I found my new weekend breakfast spot!

I was in Bensalem for a wedding and I was looking for a breakfast spot for me and my boyfriend’s family to go to. I did some searching on Unilocal and I came across this place!!! It had 4.5 stars so I thought, «why not»? Probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had EVER. The 6 of us walked in and all we saw was 3 tiny tables(all taken) and a bar area. I thought, «how in the world does this place have 4.5 stars!!!» We walked around and notice quite a few more places to sit. we pushed two tables together and the fun began. We all started to notice exactly why it was called the coffee cup café. There were coffee mugs EVERYWHERE. They were different sizes, shapes, made of different materials and from different places!!! The waitress who was SUPER energetic and friendly took all of our orders. When the food came out we were pleasantly surprised!!! Everything was massive!!! I ordered the vegetable omelet, it came with home fries and toast. The omelet was perfect, the home fries were delicious and the toast was toasted JUSTRIGHT. Other people ordered pancakes, French toast, scrapple, eggs. EVERYTHING was amazing. Our table was visited by at least 3 different employees which gave it a very home-like feel. Everyone was so welcoming and personable. If I am ever in the area I will definitely be going back!!!

So thanks to Unilocal and the great reviews. I decided to try hear for breakfast. And glad I did. The prices are perfect and food is so good. Definitely have to try the sausage egg and cheese on a kaiser roll. One of the best. A nice little cute play to have some breakfast.

All reviews are in the end subjective. Sometimes all the variables are evaluated, but in other instances one aspect so dominates that the other pieces are minimized by comparison. For me, when the atmosphere of a restaurant so overcomes me with a sense of comfort and well being that the food or service tends to fade quickly, I react emotionally and start to fall in love with the entire experience. I can’t help it. I’m a hopeless romantic. So it was with Coffee Cup Café on Bellevue Avenue, just off one of the ugly parts of business Route 1. I had seen the place for years, but was never tempted to stop and frisk the joint until reading the Unilocal reviews. It seemed like a decent place for breakfast, so I set aside a morning when not too busy to stop in. Stepping inside after parking on the street in front, I immediately felt the effect of time warping taking me to circa 1980. An old counter with about 6 or 7 spinners, and large kitchen service window in the wall behind, and more classic coffee mugs hanging on the walls than I could count. There was a nice size dining room to the side, and another tiny one right in front of the building. Everything white with blue trim. Then Beth approached from behind the counter and asked if I wanted coffee. «Yes, Mam,» as I took in her vivacious eyes and well-tatted skin. Well, all right! This woman had a story to tell, and I hoped she would share it. After mentioning this was my first visit, she gave me the history of Coffee Cup Café back through the early 1970’s. She was second generation ownership, and her son, Jesse, working the kitchen grill would be the third. She was proud and loud, and she was a groove. She welcomed me to look around, and even step into the galley for a photo. The food? It was just fine. Coffee hot and fresh. Breakfast sandwich loaded on a Kaiser roll and able to fill my happy stomach. I could have hung out there all morning. I felt like a friend and guest of the house. Some places are just that way. How many coffee mugs are found in Coffee Cup Café? I’ll never tell.

While I had lived in Hulmeville for over ten years, I never had the opportunity to eat at the Coffee Cup Café in Penndel until today. It was great! It’s a tiny place that hasn’t been remodeled in forever — some would say your typical hole in the wall. Just the kind of place that I like. We were greeted immediately and told to sit at any of the available 8 tables or 7 – 8 counter seats. We sat at a table and were welcomed and offered beverages very quickly. The coffee was delicious! The menu is limited to the core eggs, omelettes, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, and chipped beef on toast. Standard selection of breakfast, but very high quality. The 3 giant links of breakfast sausage that my wife ordered was top quality and browned to perfection. The food easily makes up for the lack of current décor. The servers were great and everyone was very friendly. Our breakfast for two totaled $ 16. The Coffee Cup Café has terrific food, is a great value and is well worth a visit.

Omg, what an adorable little spot for a hot coffee and a relaxed Sunday breakfast! I love small businesses like this where there’s a lot of character and really friendly staff. They actually do take credit cards now for payment, and yes — they’ve a small menu but clearly, it’s working! Their Cream Chipped Beef was all home-cooked goodness and the coffee was fresh(and the waitresses were generous with refills.) You can be in and out, or take your time here, which is a perfect pace for a small place like this. Enjoy a lazy weekend morning — blow off the Denny’s noise & screaming kid — ditch your kitchen and pop in for a breezy, morning stroll kind of breakfast.
