I had to find a multiplace oxygen chamber due to claustrophobia. This business advertise well and I travelled in a wheelchair to get to this place from Pittsburgh. I have been now in 5 different oxygen treatments and can compare the professionalism of the staff. First off all — the owner has no medical background at all. She hires unprofessional, low cost stuff who don’t know what they are doing. At my first session the oxygen stopped flowing into my mask in the middle of the session. I had to gasp for air and started panicking. The technician — who is the owner’s son in law and a part time welder, couldn’t explain what happened. When I got out of the chamber I addressed the issue to the owner. While I was speaking to her, a doctor intervened and rudely told me «It’s not your job to worry about it!» Excuse me? When the oxygen stop flowing into my mask and I am suffocating — shouldn’t I be worried? I had no luxury to interrupt my treatments, because I couldn’t walk or drive, and I was from out of town, so I did about 20 sessions. I had problems almost every day with the staff. The technicians and doctors seem to come and go during two months period. And I saw their«training» — which is a one time dive inside the chamber then they ready to go. One very young girl was a new technician — the best friend of the owner’s friend’s daughter. Another technician used a very strong cologne before he went in to the chamber. He smelled like a perfumed factory, and you are not supposed to use any cosmetics. The young guy Jordan who monitored the chamber from outside was often rude and not on his place all the time. The whole place is unprofessional and I had barely any improvement after 20 something session. When I got to Penn Hospital hyperbaric I had improved in one week and started walking. I doubt that at Oxygen Oasis the pressure is enough to heal the wounds. I compare now with other places and can tell that the quality is definitely not the same. I can recommend Mobile Hyperbaric in Cleveland, OH. They are the best! They work with and without insurances.
