If you like the South Philly style cheesesteaks(slabs of meat), then you will probably like Steve’s Prince of Steaks. I grew up in Philly and prefer the steaks with the meat chopped not sliced. Since that is a matter of preference I can’t hold that against them. However, what I hold against them is flavor. The meat on my cheesesteak wasn’t flavorful ATALL. Also, the cheese whiz was runny. My overall take on the sandwich was, it had all the components of a cheesesteak but latched anything impressive. Basically, the ingredients were put on a roll.

Being somewhat new to Philly, I had really high hopes for Steve’s Prince of Steaks. I was absolutely not impressed by Pat’s or Gino’s and was hoping Steve’s would show me what Philly steaks are all about. Unfortunately it was not to be. This chicken cheese steak was way spicier than it should be but at least Steve’s offers to cut it in half for you. The price point was very reasonable; less than the $ 10. This tasted like an average chicken cheese steak; not bad but nothing special. Nothing to draw me back as a returning customer

Steve’s was awful!!! I cannot fathom how this place has an overall 4 out of 5 stars! I grew up eating Philadelphia cheeseteaks but hadn’t had one in a while. My boyfriend and I stopped last night after going out because we were a little bit hungry and I was craving one. We went to Northeast location. Location. Thankfully we only ordered 1 and split it. We didn’t even finish it. That’s how bad it was! The sandwich did not have a lot of meat on it. That turned out to be a good thing because the meat consisted of bland, dry, tasteless slabs of meat. I could not taste the cheese at all. The bread was soft but somehow burnt in the middle. We had a root beer with the cheesesteak and that was good. That’s the only positive thing I can say about this place. The sandwich and soda was $ 11 and change. Ripoff! The interior was old and dirty. The counter stools were ripped and the counters were dirty. The place smelled bad! The open containers of condiments on the counter looked disgusting and Iike they hadn’t been cleaned in months. I wonder what types of gross bacteria they harbored? I’m just thankful we didn’t get sick. Do yourself a favor and skip Steve’s!

Quite disappointing. I’m typically a «Jims» girl but I have tried many cheesesteaks from basic pizza places that taste a million times better than Steves. The bread and cheese partially saved the awful tasting sandwich but still couldn’t overpower the dry slabs of meet.

I was in the area and was in the market for a Philly Cheese steak and this place had awesome reviews. The steak was good and their pepper bar was great. The mistake I made was not ordering double the meat. GETDOUBLETHEMEAT!!!

Still a great cheesesteak after several more visits over the past couple of years. The BIGSTORY is the availability of a credit card processor that saves the time and expense of bringing enough cash or using the captive ATM. The sandwiches come to ten bucks with a drink, so it pays to be ready for the splurge.

Best cheesesteaks on the face of the planet. I’ve been everywhere and nobody beats them.

Ouch! Can I stand upright now please? I paid 16 bucks!!! For a cheesesteak, fries, and soda??? I’ll give 2 stars instead of one because quality was decent. Not the best but certainly the most expensive I have had. Stopped there for lunch recently in langhorne location. So I’m at the first window ordering my cheesesteak. When I pay 10 and change, I ask about fries and drinks. «Oh you pay for those at the next window». My jaw nearly hit the floor. 10 bucks is plenty. It covers the whole meal at diners, Wit or Witout, and several other places. But not here. No no no. Here they bang you 3.50 for fries and almost 2 bucks for soda. So I’ll type my disbelief again…16 bucks! ! And wobbly tables that dump my ketchup cup all over when I go to sit on the stool. Now I will give credit for the food. It was a decent cheesesteak. Not fantastic, not amazing, not worth 16 bucks for sure. Sorry fellas, you charge too much. Won’t be returning anytime soon unless a sudden unexpected inheritance comes my way.

The ABSOLUTEBEST in Bucks. My husband likes regular cheesesteaks, I like chicken cheesesteaks, and we have never had one at Steve’s that wasn’t amazing. Previously I would have deducted one star for the inconvenience of being cash only in this day and age. We never have cash so it’s just an extra step to have to go to an ATM, then pick up Steve’s… but they recently started taking credit/debit so we are thrilled. They have excellent french fries, we always ask for them well done. Steve’s is where it’s at!

Always liked, rather loved the cheese fries here but today was more like rocks covered in cheese the employee rather then frying up a new batch of fries decided to double fry a batch of fries that where already sitting there and ruined my cheese fry day And sadly I only enjoy cheese fries at Steve’s Hopefully I will give them another chance Only fate will decide

I have been to this Steve’s location and the one in NE Philly. Yesterday, I ate at the Langhorne Steve’s. The Steak was ok however, I was a little taken back when my husband and I opened both containers of cheese fries. His was steaming, loaded with fresh cheese whiz. Mine were less than room temperature and the very little amount of cheese was dry and dark. Two very different cheese fries. I told the worker at the fry counter that my fries were cold and they didn’t have lots of fresh cheese and he didn’t say anything. He walked away and came back with a small container of cheese whiz. Right before I walked away from the counter, he said $ 1.75. WOW! They didn’t offer me new, fresh fries, they wanted me to add new hot cheese onto the crappy cold fries — and then they had nerve to charge me for it! BUTWAIT… THERE’S MORE… After a couple of bites fries I tossed the entire thing in the trash. I woke up at 6 a.m.(12 hours after consuming nasty fries) vomiting … it was the fries! I felt better after ridding my system of this nasty food and will never visit this location again. I am even hesitant to ever go back to Steve’s in the NE — the food and service is way better but now I’m petrified to eat at any Steve’s Steaks locations. I hope they read this review and pay more attention to the food they are serving to people and address complaints properly.

Forget Pat’s. Forget Geno’s. Steve’s has the best cheese-steaks in the city or state, hands down. I think that’s all that needs to be said.

Grew up in the Northeast walking to Steve’s. The prices have obviously gone up. I ordered a cheese steak bogie with Whiz. There was overloads of whiz, drowned tomato, no onions or lettuce. All this for $ 12.00, I saw that on my credit card statement and am still hoping I was over charged. I like the Tony Luke portions and serving style way better. Went to the second line and ordered small cheese fries for $ 4.71. By the time I got home the fries where gross, stuck to plastic, and trashed. This was not reminiscing I had hoped to experience. I know it’s not an old classic but I am thinking that Wit or Without had better pricing, food, and options. I even got to pick if I wanted my meat chopped or in slices. I might have officially crossed over after is visit.

(3) ~ A-OK…but my Fav is still Jim’s;) MYMENU: * Chocolate Soda =(3.5) good * Double Meat Cheese Steak with Onions ~(3) just ok… got it with Provolone & Whiz… NOTES: They NOW take Credit Cards. Get the Double Meat to equate to a normal Philly Cheese Steak. And you order the Cheese Steak at the first window & the Sides & Drinks at the second window;)

I’m not sure why but I never knew there was a Steve’s in Langhorne. This location is right on Lincoln Highway right near the car dealerships. There is plenty of parking out front and the interior is the typical stainless steel.

Rip off… ten small pieces of thinly sliced steak for ten bucks? I was not happy… I got $ 3 sub for $ 10…don’t waste your time… I am never going back… The place was clean but when that’s your best quality you have got problems. m Oh. The bread was good. it was the predominate part of the sandwich so I guess that’s a good thing. lol Steve called me after I called to complain… he thanked me for complaining and offered to make it right… I appreciate his offer. I may go to another location to see if this was a fluke. stay tuned…

Why didn’t we try this place all this while despite having passed it a couple of hundred times on Lincoln Hwy? Steve’s makes a seriously good cheese steak that it could easily be called«King of Steaks». We got caramelized onions on both our orders. I went with Provolone and I convinced my wife to get the cheese wiz. The hot sauce and the array of peppers in the self serve bar are the perfect condiments to go on this meaty creation. We also got the hot and spicy fries which were pretty crisp and had a seasoning akin to a spicier old bay. The combo hit our grease spot dead center. The cheese wiz proved a bit too heavy for my wife but she demolished the entire sandwich nevertheless. She said that she’d definitely go with regular cheese the next time we are here.
