What a great local camera shop. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and does a good job of being able to talk technical with the more seasoned photographers and taking it down a level for the novices. In addition, they even put on fee clinics and seminars to help get their customers become acquainted with new gear and photography techniques. Customer service has been amazing; thank you Shane, Chad, Bobbie and Kurt.

It’s no wonder they just closed all of their spin off locations. This one probably won’t last much longer with their horrendous customer service. You don’t get greeted, no one asks you if you need anything, there aren’t prices on anything, you’ll wait forever for someone to help to you and when you get to the checkout you will be treated like you’re inconveniencing them. What makes it worse is that their prices are jacked up way higher than their competitors like B&H and Adorama. Sales and customer service is a dead art form here. Save yourself the gas and just order online.

Excellent customer service. I make it a point to make all of our business’ large purchases there. We feel strongly that it is important to keep businesses such as Cardinal Camera going. Anyone can go on Amazon these days to make a purchase, but what a wonderful experience to feel valued as a customer, never rushed & educated prior to making a purchase. I send everyone I know there. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. They frequently have specials & promos on a variety of items. They are a hidden gem in the heart of Lansdale. I was there on Saturday at their big anniversary sale and got a great deal on a Canon camera and even got to meet and get Darren Daulton’s autograph. I have now bought 4 cameras over the years from Cardinal and multiple accessories and every time I have had a great experience. Compliments to Scott, my sales person, who is very knowledgable and gave me a great deal, Kurt the owner, and the rest of his team. You can always try to find deals online but if you want great service, expert people, and a very competitive price check out Cardinal.

I had a GREAT experience with Cardinal Camera. I bought a camera from them eight months ago, when I went to sell it I found out it was a «grey market» camera. I then contacted Cardinal Camera and Brian said there was an obvious mixup and he would send me a new one. I received it this week. In these days of rushed sales-people and many people ordering on-line, a nice personal touch and genuine service seems to be going by the wayside, but I see it has not been lost on those who work at this company. Thank you cardinal Camera.

Beware when buying online from Cardinal Camera at . I ordered a camera(Canon 330HS) from them back in March. A week later, I never received the camera, and called them. The salesperson I spoke with at this store said they would have someone call me back, and this person told me there was a «mix up» with the order and the camera I had ordered was discontinued and out of stock as a result. He offerred another model(Canon 340HS) instead of what I ordered. I wasn’t interested already knowing that model has poorer image quality, so I requested a refund, and he said there would be no problem and that I’d have the money back in a few days. But a week later I still hadn’t received my refund, and called the store again. The salesperson again tried to sell me the other model, which I said I wasn’t interested in as that was not what I ordered. He said he’d let the person in charge of internet sales know and that he’d call me back. Well he never did, and I called again, to get the same runaround. Fortunately I paid with Paypal and had to file a dispute, now almost a month later, I finally have my money back as Paypal decided the case in my favor. No one from Cardinal Camera returned my messages or the ones from Paypal. Needless to say I don’t plan on buying anything from them online again. They seemed to hope that I’d just forget about the order and that I’d go away. I’m writing this review to urge others, at least online, not to make the mistake I did by giving these guys my business, because once they have your money they could care less about giving the customer what they ordered or their money back. In a way, they tried a «bait and switch» by taking my money by having a discontinued, out of stock, camera on their website, and then trying to sucker me into buying another model which was inferior. Buyer beware!

When I placed my order for a Canon 5D through Amazon, Cardinal was the independent retailer that took my order. For the most part I am a loyal Amazon customer and typically find their service good. As an Amazon customer I’ve come to expect fast shipping but in this case Cardinal took their sweet time. Also, could have got a better deal through BH Photo, my regular photo supplier, as for the same price they would have included a 16GB card. BH also seems to get my orders out faster. To their credit the item was as described, no funny business and no high pressure up-sell as you might find with some stores.

I used Cardinal several years ago to repair an old 1960’s Nikon and was pleased then. I’ve since moved away but desperately needed to find a repair shop 4 days before Labor Day for my Nikon D60. I called around to numerous places in Philly and Montgomery County but came up short. I remembered Cardinal and spoke to the technician, Terry, who works on-site. I dropped the camera off that afternoon got a call the next day that it had been repaired! The cost was $ 60 cheaper than the other estimates I received and even comes with a 1-year warranty on the service. I will happily drive the extra distance for any future repairs and am excited to be heading into the holiday weekend with my camera in tow.
