The gentlemen helping me had a thick accent but he really knew what he was doing. He suggested certain ways to tailor my shirt, which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but upon wearing it, I was beyond satisfied. My old tailor would have charged me an arm and a leg for the alterations I wanted, but these prices were very reasonable.

The only business I trust with my alterations. More often than not I need my pants hemmed (I’m 5’3″) and an occasional shirt or dress altered. Lisbon Tailors is always dependable and does a professional job. The owner is friendly, albeit a little abrasive, but that’s just his personality along with a VERY thick accent. He will do whatever he needs to make his customers happy and I always leave satisfied. Do note he takes ONLY cash or check.

This is a fabulous little gem in Lansdale! I happened upon this tailor whens searching for a place to alter a dress for a wedding in a pinch. Buy a pinch I mean I waited until a week before the wedding to get my dress altered. I called Lisbon tailor and a gentleman who spoke English with a very thick accent was more than happy to help. I arrived to have him mark the dress for alterations and he repeated several times that it’s very hard to take in a dress when the zipper is on the side of the dress. He then told me never to buy a dress with zipper there again if I ever planned on getting it altered. He was smiling and laughing the whole time and was doing his best to find a way to alter my dress that wouldn’t cost me a fortune. After about 30 minutes he had a plan and it was only going to cost me 40 dollars! He also promised the dress would be done in a week, which was impressive considering it was a height of wedding season. A week later I returned to pick up my dress only to find the shop was closed during normal business hours. I begin to panic and call the shop owner who does not have an answering machine. About 30 minutes after I was supposed to pick up the dress I got a phone call from the shop owner apologizing profusely that he had to leave briefly to take care of his wife. It was very hard to be upset at that reason and I was thankful that he called me so quickly after my allotted pick up time. The prices are reasonable the turnaround time is exceptional!
If you do venture to Lisbon tailor make sure you have cash or a check as he does not take credit card.

I got a dress altered here in March ’11. The owners of this establishment are extremely nice and went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with how the dress turned out. This was the first time I went there and they remembered me when I came back to get the dress and had it ready as promised. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone in need of a tailor.
