Studio 44 Salon and Spa

I have not tried any of the hairstylists here, which seems to be the main thing people are raving about. Perhaps they are indeed great — I can’t speak either way to that.
With that caveat…
I went to Studio 44 to have my eyebrows done (this was several months ago now — perhaps they have changed their Esthetician by this point). In any event, the woman seemed friendly, but inexperienced. She did my eyebrows unevenly and left a large number of stray hairs (I expect a few, but this was more like a dozen). I didn’t make a stink about it, but I also didn’t go back.
If you’re looking for a place to get your eyebrows done, I’d suggest giving this one a pass.
On the up-​side: the interior of Studio 44 is clean and aesthetically pleasing and the wait time was reasonable.

Ask for Mary!!! I was in town for a wedding so I looked on Unilocal for a place to get a regular Men’s haircut. This place had great reviews so I thought I’d try it. It’s definitely got that Jersey salon style but with actual class and no annoying accents. (I’m born & raised in Florida so I only know what I see on TV). The girl who washes & conditions your hair is great. She almost put me to sleep! Mary cut my hair and she did a wonderful job. Go see her! I’ve only been here this one time but I have to imagine this place is very consistent. Plus all the girls there are very pretty and sweet, but I mean that in the most sincere way

They always do a great job, I see Ashley and she always listens to what I want and works with me until its just right! If I need to run in last minute she is always very cool with me seeing another stylist. Also, coffee in the morning and wine in the evening! How can you go wrong? Also pricing is very competive with other salons in the area.

gayle has been cutting my hair for around twelve years now, since i was about seven or so. she is amazing, and so is studio 44! the salon is beautiful, everyone is super nice, and the hairdressers are amazing, as are the makeup artists. i have never had my nails done here, but i’m sure that service is as excellent as the rest!

I first discovered this little gem when I received a gift certificate from my Stepmother for Christmas a few years back.
I must admit that I had my snob o meter on when I first walked into their old salon located in a crummy strip mall in Chalfont.
That was until I met Kristen. Kristen is a very talented hair stylist.
She is perhaps one of 2 people that have ever been able to cut my hair (the other has since moved to Denver). I have one big head of thick yuck going on. And I am embarrassed to say that although I am in the beauty biz myself, I am a bit of a doofus when it comes to hair. That is why I leave that up to her, and I am never disappointed.
The salon has since moved to a newly renovated location in Lansdale where they now offer a complete menu of spa services. I have yet to try them out– cause I never have time! But, when I do… I am so there!
