It’s a shame I can’t give negative stars. I have been totally scammed by these rip off artists. Ordered a door on 12/17, was promised shipment a bit after Christmas, then the lies started. First door pulled was rusted, door shipping from Maine, it snowed, it’s in Yonkers, NY, should be there soon, it’s getting delivered Monday, Tuesday… Well here it is Wednesday, ready for this? It fell off the truck… On further digging, it fell ON the truck and was dented… If I wasn’t so upset about being continually, I could laugh. Last correspondence… We credited you yesterday. Lie! Called credit card company and Better Business Bureau and starting action against them! Do NOT use A&R, they are liars and scammers!!!

It has been 4 months and I still have not recieved my refund. I disputed my refund 3 weeks after the motor was to be delivered not 3 days. Also several phone messages were not returned and in fact I was hung up on twice so don’t listen to there comments that it was the customers fault. I am restoring an old 1986 D-50 truck. Its difficult to find used parts for the vehicle since its 25 years old. I found A & R Auto and Truck parts on the internet. They seemed to have a ton of the parts I needed. Eureka! Only problem is they are all the way across the country. So you have to purchase over the internet. I was not able to verify A & R reputation over the internet so I was a little leery. As a dry run to test whether A & R could take an order and actually deliver a part to my house, I purchased a simple instrument cluster for my truck in March 2012 — Had no Problem receiving the part. So I Purchased several body parts for my truck on April 2, 2012(Over $ 1500.00). I was told I would receive pictures of all the parts prior to shipping. This was done for verification as to the condition of the parts. If I was satisfied with the condition of the part they would ship immediately. They never did send any picture for verification. A & R would tell me the pictures of the body parts were going to be sent by email and two or three days later I would have to call up to see why the pictures were not sent. This cycle continued for 3 weeks. I never did receive a picture of all the body parts where I could verify the condition. Started asking for a refund on April 20th. Was told a check was in the mail. After 7 days contacted A & R for a status as to where the check was. I was told they would look into it. Another week went by with no refund check. Since I used my Visa to make the purchase on May 2nd2012 I started the process of getting a refund. As of May 21, 2012 the case is still pending with my bank. I suggest you give heavy consideration as to whether or not you should purchase any parts from A & R Auto and truck parts over the internet. The online service A & R uses for purchases using a Debit/Credit card(Authorize.Net) does provide protection against fraud. Authorize.Net does not give you a refund. So as in my case since A & R did not fulfill their end of the transaction it is up to me to to get a refund. Meanwhile I have spent a considerable amount of my own time trying to get my money back. Its been an absolutely horrible experience to deal with A & R. I would only purchase parts from A & R Auto and Truck Parts over the internet with money I could afford to lose.
