This place is awesome. The chicken stir fry is my favorite. Staff is outstanding. Owner is on site and makes his rounds to ensure you are happy with the food. Need to alter the menu due to dietary needs, no problem here! Go here often and plan to continue.

Extensive menu. Great service. Solidly good food. Free wifi. You can eat and run, or you can sit and hang out. I’ve yet to have something I don’t like, and recommend this place to people regularly. Athena’s is simply a good bet.

Used to frequent this place. Haven’t been there in a while so we went there this morning. Between all 7 of us we spent with tip about $ 80. I specifically asked if I could have a REGULAR pan omelette made instead of scrambled eggs with everything thing mixed in. I was told by the waitress that was no problem. Well when it was brought to me it was exactly what I told them i did not want. So when I told them I wanted it remade the way I had asked. I even had to explain how to make a. omelette. Then the cook had made a rude comment. He stated «I will let it slide this time but not again. That’s not how we make our omelettes here.» I think he was a lazy rude POS. It’s sad that customers have to hear that. I WILL NEVER be returning to this establishment again. Have NEVER had a problem with the wait staff or the food in general. I used to work as a cook in a restaurant and ALWAYS tried to please the customers. It’s said but as long as that cook is the we won’t be going back there again. Would have 5 stars if cook was fired.

Athena Coney island restaurant is the new replacement for Jon’s restaurant. They are doing a very good job. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is good. I used to get the country burger at Jon’s and was always satisfied. Athena’s juicy burger is much better that the country burger. They take 2 paddies of beef and fry cheese in the middle of the two paddies. Excellent burger. The rest of the menu is Greek Coney island fare.

The breakfast menu is quite large, and they serve breakfast all day. Good combinations of ingredients in the omelettes, and the skillets looked good. I had the Irish omelette, raisin toast, and coffee. My dining parent had a waffle, bacon, and American fries. The American fries were deep fried, which is not our favorite. I loved the thick raisin toast. Overall, good food and a great selection. I would give it 5 stars, but the service could have been better. I would definitely come back.
