Had the best gluten free pizza ever. To me the crust tasted the same as a wheat crust… thin and crispy. Had the veggie kabob as a side. It consisted of cherry tomatoes, peppers and onions. Nice presentation on wooden kabob, healthy, and grilled to perfection. A very enjoyable experience.

We were pretty excited about this spot since we are tired of always having to travel to NWI to eat and we used to enjoy Popolano’s. However… first off, if you are looking for a quiet, or even semi-quiet spot to eat forget it. It was so loud in there I couldn’t believe it. The wait staff was phenomenal. Because they were busy, our waitress had a helper who was great. We never had to look for her. The menu was pretty odd. There are plenty of items on there, but again, odd. We had the fried bread appetizer which was really good and I would highly recommend that. I just had the Cobb salad and their mugamac which was a mug of baked macaroni and cheese. No cheese flavor, too runny — highly disappointed. My husband and son got the blue cheese hamburger and fries. Which was just okay. Nothing spectacular. I’m glad I went, but wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again. I was pretty disappointed.

I give BoJoes a 3 star rating for a few reasons. First and foremost my expectations were high as in there is truly no good eats in lansing sense popolanos closed. I had the BBQ burger on recommendation from the waitress who was very nice and courteous. The pork was dry and all in all for what was on it, quite bland. My wife had the wings those were quite good the chicken had a good smokey flavor not to overpowering. We also shared the home made chips which were good. Not sure what the name of the beer was that i had but it was phenomenal to say the least. All in all it was a good experience the pricing seems to be a bit on the high side, i hope the menu expands and that the prices go down just a bit I love lansing and want to see this business flourish. I will most definitely go back and give another review as well.

Bohemian Joe’s is in the building that formerly was Popolano’s. The interior has been completely redone with a more open feel. There is still a main dining room and a bar room, but the bar now seats people on the restaurant side also. They are only open for limited hours as of this review, with a limited menu. We were greeted by all the staff that saw us. The hostesses were smiling and friendly. Our server was also friendly and efficient. My husband ordered a Blue Burger. It was cooked perfectly as ordered, medium well. The bacon was crispy. There was just the right amount of blue cheese. It was served with a mixed green dinner salad. I ordered the Sweet Potato Salad. Sweet potato bits, cranberries, blue cheese, sunflower seeds, and mixed greens with an orange vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious. We will certainly be back.
