You have got to be kidding me! This place is nasty. Ordered delivery and food was delivered timely but not hot at all. And I found what was either an angry old man’s pube or something closely resembling such?

The combination seafood fried rice was awesome. It smells great & the seafood(shrimp, crab meat & scallops) it was cooked perfect. This my second time here & I definitely will be returning.

The food may be good, but the person taking orders on the phone is very rude. Won’t be spending my money here. I’ll go to Eat Rice.

Best Chinese by far. Not greasy. …fresh ingredients. We travel from Frankfort to Lansing for their food.

I thought I would give the peapod boys one more shot… however from the rude and distasteful order taker on the phone… to the delivery of the food…2 hours for fried rice… never again… Quality isnt there either… do everybody a favor and get out of Lansing… or perhaps Fix your service.

J’s Peapod is a good place to carry out. They do not have a sit-down area but the food is pretty good and they do deliver. I especially like the shrimp lo mein and the chicken egg foo young. It tastes good and its not greasy. I would definitely suggest this place.

My absolute favorite chinese food in the area! They are very fast and very polite. Our standard order is Hong Sue chicken, beef fried rice, and shrimp with lobster sauce, always delicious always hot, and always ready in fifteen minutes!

I live on the Chicago’s northside but I have family down here in the south suburbs(Lansing) and I’m out here constantly. None of the Chinese restaurants out here in the south suburbs could ever hold a candle to what we have in the city but when I am out here Jay’s Peapod is definitely one of the better ones for the south suburbs. It be nice if they would put a menu online even a basic one page website would be helpful.

I read everyone’s reviews before I took a trip over there. It’s not the best I have had. I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce the gravy on the lobster sauce is so jelled and clunky. The drive was a little out of the way there would be no need to return. I also ordered the fried shrimp they are not cooked good.

This is the best Chinese food restaurant in the south-suburbs. Everything is SOFRESH. The vegetables are so FRESH you can smell & taste the freshness and they still have a little crunch to them. My favs are the chicken noodle soup, I always have a few of a favorite vegetables added. The vegetable soup is even better, even more flavorful. I tried the ribs last time I ordered and MAN they were really good, they taste way better than Chilli’s ribs. I rarely eat meat so when I decided to get the ribs I was glad I did. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is the amount of BBQ sauce they put on’em but I’m a «thin layer of sauce» kind of person(even with pizza) so my opinion my be a little biased(ha) I just scrape most of the BBQ sauce off and chow down. The vegetable friend rice(so fresh!) and the shrimp egg rolls are also delish.

We have been getting J’s for over twenty years and have never had a problem. However, my last order was not filled correctly. I ordered ham fried rice and received pork; I order sweet and sour shrimp and received shrimp fried rice. My guests told me not to complain but I wish I had. When they hand you the bag they do not go over your order. I will not place an order with them again and not take everything out of the bag to make sure I get what I ordered. Make sure you do the same.

Fyi, no dining in at all. Friendly and quick service, I like the people there a lot. Healthy food indeed. I prefer a brown sauce on my chicken with broccoli rather than the clear sauce. Good mix of chicken and broccoli. Hot and sour soup wasn’t ny favorite, not that hot, and it had shrimp which was weird. I’ll definitely go back, but will try something different.

Fractured my tooth on something in the food. Do not eat here. Delivery guy was rude and even had the nerve to harass me about a tip. Called up to the place and got yelled, manager had the nerve to say something about dental insurance. Bottom line rude unprofessional may have spoiled me and my family’s appetite and possibly contaminated our food. Horrible experience!
