Lamb’s Gate Antiques

Love this cute antique store prices vary but great selection loved going here when I lived in Lansing about 2 years ago.

It didn’t take long for me to spend my last bit of summer savings at this store (mostly on gifts for others, mind you!).
I was most drawn to the architecture stamps and print-​making things they had. Also picked up a complete shaving kit from the 1900s which had gorgeous blades and powders in their original packaging. They have everything from military patches to dresses to hats to telephones to jewelry. From small odds and ends to larger furniture pieces. Most things here are very reasonably priced and few things seemed to me to be on the higher-​end, mint-​level of ‘collectability’ (which is fine by me because I don’t go for that anyway).
From what I can gather almost everything here is via consignment so if you want to ask about a price change or buying something out of a set, they have to call the original owner.
The woman working at the desk was very friendly and relaxed. She was playing Billie Holiday which pleased everyone who came in (including myself).
Wonderfully laid out store. Lots of stuff hiding everywhere so definitely give yourself some time to explore. But things are far from cluttered or overwhelming so leave your Paxil at home.
