Hosted an overnight here for myself and a group of high school students. We used one of their meeting rooms, and occupied roughly 12 of their hotel rooms. The two stars I’m giving it are for: The rooms were fine — clean, and a little worn looking — but clean! The customer service and the taco bar we had for lunch — pretty great. Here’s why everything else kind of sucks: The pool area is ill-supervised. I understand that the staffing may be limited, but there were kids in there that were running crazy. Apparently, there was another youth group having an overnight at the hotel, and their rooms’ windows opened out to the pool area. That meant, kids were opening their windows and running in and out of the pool area. The hallways are ill-supervised. There were groups of students just roaming the hallways the entire night. The front desk either does not care, or does not feel comfortable letting enforcing any sort of noise ordinance. The gym was terrible. It’s part of the pool area, and none of the machines worked. Ugh. I guess the main takeaway is: don’t come here on a weekend where there are lots of youth groups hanging about.

Rooms are decent enough, no bed bugs or anything like that. Clean, though the shower in the bathroom seemed unfinished and a lot of the TV stations did not work There was one or two housekeeping staff that need a serious lesson in hygiene. I’m talking about the whole damn floor we were on smelling like B.O. and it was DEFINITELY from her. The customer service was just fine when checking in and very friendly on our way out. The«fitness room» if you can call it that was located in the large pool/arcade/lounge room They are VERY conveniently located off the highway and across the street from… well, everything. A quick drive or $ 20 cab ride into campus. If you stay here, you MUSTMUSTMUST visit Horrocks market across the street. They are amazingly fresh and have everything you could want. All in all for the awesome hotwire deal we got($ 80 for 2nights) this was a great stay and worth what we paid

Oh where do I begin? Booked this alleged 3 star hotel through , I’ve never had issues when booking through them before, so I trust their rating system. The exterior of the hotel shows this is an older building, but it looked decent. The lobby was clean but sparse, and check-in was quick and simple. The clerk gave us instructions where to park, showed me our room on the map, then I went back to my vehicle and parked near the entrance given. I walk with a cane and am somewhat mobility impaired, needless to say a lot of walking is hard on me. We take the elevator up to the second floor where our room is and I begin following the signs to our room, we ended up walking around the entire floor before finding it. While walking, we missed the fire door we were supposed to go through because the sign marking it was not visible from the direction we were walking from. After finally arriving at our room I open the door and enter, it was the wrong room. I had booked and confirmed a single king room, this was a double queen. I picked up the phone and called the desk and she had me come back down to the lobby to get a new room. After discovering our initial navigational error, we were able to go through the fire door about 15 feet from our room, and take a short walk to the elevator. Back at the front desk I was given the choice of two rooms, one on the first, one on the third floor. Again, noting my cane, I asked about the one on the first floor, the clerk asked if we had pet allergies, which my wife does, then said we should probably take the third floor. Luckily the elevators were right next to the front desk. Once on the correct floor we go through the fire door and walk to our room. Opening the door our initial impression of the room was poor. The comforter was a hideous floral pattern, the furniture was slightly dated and the curtains had seen better days. There was a small fridge which was dirty on the inside, and had multiple dings and scratches on the outside. The microwave was clean until you looked at the inside of the door which was not. The dirt didn’t stop with the appliances; the walls were scuffed and marked up, the carpet was filthy, there was dust on the headboard, the A/C-heater unit was in desperate need of a cleaning, and the door to the hallway had an unidentifiable something splashed on about half of it. The bathroom was tiny, and the toilet didn’t flush very well. The positives: The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent, I can’t complain about anything involving that. The staff was friendly, and to be quite honest you could tell they were doing the best with what they had to work with. In all honesty, the staff is what pushed me to give a 2 star review instead of 1.

Booked this place through Priceline and while the price we paid is somewhat consistent with the kind of place it is… ouch… this was not a nice experience. This was suposedly a 3 star hotel. I do not know the requirements for that rating but this is definitely the worst 3 star place I’ve ever been to. We got there around 2am after driving from Chicago, and no one was there at the front desk. There was a sign, but it took a while for someone to show up. We even called the hotel to see if anyone would answer, but nobody did. Second, we had to walk a lot to get to our room, even after we parked to the nearest entrance. Third, the place looked old and… yucky… parking lot was not in good shape, the door to our room had like old numbers removed, then a new sign with the number, an scratches and the number written with pencil too… Room was so so, bed was so so… On the plus side, they included breakfast… the dining room is very small, and the options are limited(no bacon), but it was OK.
