I would never recommend this place, I went in to buy a package for $ 29.99 at which point I was informed there was also an introductory fee of an additional $ 20?! I have never heard of such a thing. Or I could by 110 «points» for something like $ 80 which would buy me three tans but no $ 20 fee. I will find somewhere else to tan.

Until recently, I’d never been in a tanning bed before a day in my life. However, I decided that I didn’t want to be the same color as my dress in my upcoming wedding, and so I decided to give it a shot. I scoped out a few tanning locations in my area and checked them out one by one. Ultimate Exposure is right down the road, so I went on in one day and paid for one session in their lowest bed, just to get a feel for the store. I figured that if it was horrible, I’d only be out five bucks. I filled out the little questionnaire on skin type and also explained that I was essentially a tanning newbie to the worker at the front desk, who made a recommendation of where to start. When I was done, I asked if I could possibly have a mini-tour. She was more than happy to show me around, and she also kindly(though maybe a little amusedly) answered the questions I had. She seemed very knowledgeable and actually appeared to understand the science of what goes on during tanning(which I already knew), and so I decided I felt comfortable asking her for her recommendation on what type of package might be good for me, if I decided to get one. She suggested that I at least start with the cheapest unlimited package(about $ 30/month), since I’m both fair skinned and new to tanning. When I said I needed to go home and think about it(because I did), she didn’t pressure me at all and thanked me for coming in. Fast forward a day or two, and I’ve checked out all the locations and decide that I want to go with a package at Ultimate Exposure.(It made the most sense money-wise, and is closest.) I head in, and a different employee greets me this time, but she’s just as nice and just as helpful. I got signed up, got a month free, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since. So far, their recommendations have been spot-on, and my tan is coming along quite nicely. I also got a free upgrade and a free Spray Tan with signing up. I suppose I should mention that the day I signed up, I inquired about lotions(because I had no clue), and she suggested one that was very reasonably priced and good for a beginner, and I got a pretty big discount for buying it the day I signed up. I can’t tell you or not if the lotion makes a difference in my tan, but I can say that my skin feels like rose petals and smells delightful, so I feel like I win anyway. All of the employees(save for one) are incredibly nice and very friendly and most of them have learned my name, which I think is nice. They haven’t pressured me into buying a bunch of stuff, though they do inquire if I have lotion on occasion. When I tell them I do, they back right down, which I admire. It’s always very clean(and I check carefully!), and the beds seem decent. I’m getting tan, so they must work alright! I won’t say it’s all perfect there by any means. None of the rooms I’ve been in have any mirrors at all(my big annoyance), and it’s not very nice and decorative like other tanning places. It’s all white and beige and seems to be staying that way for the forseeable future. It doesn’t feel very«beachy» like most tanning places. However, I go to get a tan, not admire the walls, so I’m down with it for now.
