Wichert John MD

Dr. Wichert is my obstetrician, and I’ve always been extremely happy with him.
I first started seeing him when I was having a little trouble conceiving. Even though he was not familiar with Natural Family Planning (which I use to both achieve and avoid pregnancy), he was happy to look at my charts and picked up on how to read them right away. He agreed with my assessment that I needed a higher level of progesterone and put me on the medication I needed (which resulted in a baby shortly!).
I continued to see him throughout my pregnancy and was very pleased with him. He was extremely reassuring one night when I had some bleeding and let me come in for an ultrasound first thing in the morning. (Everything was fine.)
He was also quite accommodating to my requests about labor and childbirth, such as that I be allowed to labor and deliver in any position I chose. (He didn’t end up being the one present at my son’s birth, however.)
Dr. Wichert has a very kind, friendly manner. Even my friend who really didn’t care for male OBs liked him quite a bit.
