Moose Lake Christian Craft Village

This is the best place ever. Super friendly staff. Food is great and large portions. The extra donuts, candies, and hot biscuits with jams they bring before your meal is delicious. The setting is very inviting. You can not go wrong with the menu (large variety)!

What a delightful store and restaurant. I have not been to Moose Lake in the summer to enjoy all of the water and village activities, so I am basing my review on our dining and shopping experience.
The restaurant and store are in the same adorable rustic building and the tables are nestled between aisles of Amish jams, salsas, candies, condiments, noodles and so many more food items than I can list. There is even a new gourmet popcorn section.
There are handmade soaps, lotions, jewelry and Christian items for sale as well.
One of the things that I love most about Moose Lake is the friendliness of the owners and employees. Upon arrival, the owner greeted us promptly and gave both of my young daughters their own moose stuffed animal! What a generous gesture.
Another thing that I love about Moose Lake is that they give you samples of almost everything whether you are dining there or shopping. Numerous jams, salsas, candies and popcorn just to name a few.
For dinner, I chose the Gourmet Grilled Cheese made with Amish cheeses on fresh Rise n Roll bread! It was so gooey and delicious. I also had the green beans which were flavorful and smokey with bites of kielbasa. My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak and it was great as well along with sweet potato fries.
While waiting for our food we were given fried biscuits to munch on. They were hot, doughy and crispy all at the same time and dredged in butter. They were awesome. There were 3 fruit butter spreads on the table to put on the biscuits and I really enjoyed the peach butter. Next thing we know, the kids are given 2 Moonpies each for dessert and my husband and I were each given Rise n Roll doughnuts. It is a wonder I had any room for my dinner, which I was only able to eat half of. They even gave us take home bags popcorn to enjoy later!
I am a huge Rise n Roll fan and so of course had to buy a dozen doughnuts to take home along with Amish free range eggs and some unique seasoning blends.
This was my second time at Moose Lake and on the previous visit, I took pizza home and it was fantastic!
Very reasonable prices as well!
