Not sure what the hub-bub’s all about… especially at this price. The 2-star description says it all«Meh. I’ve experienced better.»

We order from Aurelios regularly for«pizza night.» The delivery is quick, the price is good, and I love their selection of toppings. I prefer a lot of vegetables on my pizza, and theirs are varied and fresh! My kids are more for the basics, so our typical order is half pepperoni and half sausage, mushroom, tomato, peppers, spinach, and onions. They never disappoint. This is the best carry out pizza in LA Porte!

Just left there having dinner with my Dad & two of my brothers. Still love the pizza. I ordered a meatball sandwich for Isabel because I couldn’t remember what she ordered last time but I remember it had their meatballs in it. Apparently I was close but she loved the sandwich. They used to offer a meatball dish that she said was amazing. But I never saw it on the menu. I’m guessing it’s a special request now. Great food & service still!

Aurelio’s does have really good pizza and I go out of the way to get a pie. I live in Michigan city and the closest is in Laporte. Reason for the 2 stars is I ordered a thin crust and thick on my last visit and the thick crust was disgusting. It was a medium sausage and mushroom and the crust was at least ¾ inch if nasty tasting dough. It was so bad I threw the whole 23 $ pizza away after trying to choke down one slice. Thin crust however was very good.

Ordered a large pepperoni and a couple garlic cheese bread. Dinner arrived hot and in the time the said it would. The pizza was ok. Not the best I’ve ever had, but also not the worst. Certainly not worth the $ 28 I was charged for it! For ONE pizza! Garlic cheese bread was pretty tasty. Would have been better if they sent some sauce also.

Favorite pizza EVER!!! I love the Super Six! So good! My favorite place to bring dinner home on a Friday night! I love the fact that the pizza sizes run large too so I can enjoy it all weekend. Usually get it to go. One day I need to eat in and get one of the spinach salads!

If no service is good service you’ll like this place. Left after we were ignored by waitstaff.

Poor service! Called one hour and 15 minutes ahead to ask that our pizza be done at 6pm instead of made immediately. Went to pick up at the agreed 6pm and was told it was not ready, would be done in 10 minutes, 10 minutes later it was still going to be 15 more minutes. The motto on the box is «call ahead». Called to speak to manager and was told they were sorry they«got behind» and our pizza weren’t ready because there was a large party of 10. Was also told we got«piping hot pizza fresh out of the oven only 25 minutes late» no regard that we phoned ahead for a specific reason or that it affected our plans. No remorse. $ 86 for a pizza that was not fully cooked and one that was burnt around the edges on the bottom. Word of mouth is the best advertisement for a restaurant and I will make sure to let the people I know of the disregard of this establishments customer complaints all the way from the supposed manager and their attitude in rectifying a situation when brought to their attention. They did offer a $ 10 credit on my next visit which is worthless as I won’t be visiting this establishment again. I also won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone I know. Customer service is first and foremost in small places like this in small towns, this place does not have that. Sorry to see that as it is close, convenient and I like to see small places have good reputations.

This is in my top 3 pizza places. Giordanos in Chicago and Brozinni’s pizza(NY Style) in Indianapolis. Crust is excellent, sauce is sweet how I like and everything is fresh. You can’t go wrong. It think it is a few bucks more expensive and slightly smaller than my other two favorite places(not in this area) but it is the best in the area.

The cheese was good but the sauce was very salty. The crust had a weird after-taste of soybean oil.

Speedy, friendly eat-in service. Only a quick 2 mile diversion from I-80 traffic! Pizza and pasta are tasty. Pinball games are a fun way to get the blood flowing back to your legs too. Kids say it has the best chicken Alfredo.

I’ve patroned the Aurelio’s in both Geneva and Homewood, IL. This one lives up the reputation and taste that I’ve grown to know and love. Service was reasonable and prices were good. If anyone from IL needs a familiar place to eat at, this is definately one of them. And likewise any Hoosier’s who go west-ward will definitely not loose anything by eating in IL.

Aurelio’s started as a staple in 1991 at Western Illinois University. The pizza crust is unique in that it has a bakery style crust which generally is crispy and light. The sauce is also unique in that it is a sweet based red sauce that is very northern-italian. On the evening we ordered out, it was delivered to our hotel near by. Pizza is a funny thing because it it great food to order for delivery but always tastes many times better dining in. This was to be the case on this evening. Our pizza was soggy but none the less being that there is few chances I ever get to have Aurelio’s — I’ll deal with that! The rest of the family — not. They are all health nuts and this pizza is traditionally always greasy. While that works for me — not necessarily other people. You couldn’t keep me away but I may have a hard sell next time we’re in the area — which is 3 weeks away.
