We’re at Foley’s every week for household must-haves! They carry all of the traditional hardware, plumbing and gardening products plus a huge selection of kids toys, kitchen goods, outdoor rugs, cleaning products. I always walk out with a couple more things than I expected!

I LOVE this store! Somehow they happen to have almost every oddball thing I need, and what they don’t have in stock, they are happy to order for me at no extra cost. I fancy myself as a bit of DIY’er and they are knowledgeable and willing to share their expertise – and for those times when I find myself in over my head with a project, they have an awesome handyman you can hire out by the hour!

I love that I can walk in to this wonderful larchmont gem and get virtually anything I need for my home (and then some). It’s so nice to be able to shop locally and its dependable. I have almost always found what I needed in this store! Thanks Foleys for being so reliably wonderful!

I always go to Foley’s first before resorting to Home Depot. Foley’s is a good old-fashioned hardware store where they’ll help you find just the right size of nail or screw, even if you only need one or two of each. They also have a useful array of housewares. I recently moved, and got my tea mugs there, and my picture hangers, and my bathroom waste bin, and… well, the list is indeed long. It’s the kind of friendly store you make up an excuse to visit even if you don’t really need anything.

Great local hardware store that fits perfectly into Larchmont. Store has wide variety of products and beats having to step into Home Depot. Can usually find what I’m looking for although could use some help in the customer service department.

Love this hardware store. Great customer service. Huge selection. Perfect one stop shop for the holidays. Everyone is warm and friendly and helps you with anything you need. I live in the city but often travel to Westchester and I ALWAYS make this one of my stops.

This hardware store is awesome. Of course, it can’t compete with Home Depot when it comes to tool inventory but it has all you’ll need for most of your everyday projects. Head to the back of the store and you’ll find everything from shower curtains to Le Creuset cookware. They also have excellent customer service. The employees are friendly, know their stuff, and they’re quick to help. Try finding that at Home Depot. Support your local mom and pop stores.

On the surface this hardware store seems like it would be all right, but I’ve had several bad experiences there. Today I called them on the phone to ask if they had a certain product. The person on the phone went to check and came back and said they had it. When I got to the store, they didn’t have it. Their overly legalistic explanation: the person on the phone must have thought you meant «do we carry it». That was 40 minutes of my time wasted.
Last winter I bought siphon pump. It was an inexpensive piece of plastic from China and admittedly I wasn’t expecting high quality, but it was so cheap as to not work at all. I know it wasn’t a lot of money, but why bother to even carry an item if it’s completely non-functional?
Thirdly, I would add that this store has a number of employees who don’t seem to know anything about hardware merchandise, so don’t go there expecting to get much information or help.
